Patriotic 10 baskets (red/white/blue) - 18 hole reversible layout. Sunday closed until noon. Weds closed at 6pm.
Description
Blessings Church in partnership with local businesses providing 10 baskets on 9 acres - can be played as 18 with turn around tees beginning at number 9. (See Emerald Park Mesa AZ as concept).
What could be perceived as a boring flat layout is made anything but with the constant battle with winds. Also with farm acreage/ highway and drive-in theater bordering every hole - the OB is always in play and fairways are cut narrow to add to difficulty. There are Mandos that experienced players should use for difficulty as well.
Farm field OB rules; beans - standard OB practice with 1 stroke/ corn - play it where it lies if you can find it, with 1 stroke penalty.
This course also features a putting green (doubles as hole 18) with "in the circle" distances, as well as a 700 foot driving range that can be used separately or as part of the "Driving Range Layout." (still under development).
There are 9 red/short rubber teepads for beginners/ frisbees/ and foot golf. These are also 2 way teepads to be able to play 2 separate 9 holes - or as an 18 hole layout.
The LONG/BLUE layout has mostly jute backed tees (still under development). Signage is coming for all tee pads and a course map.
If playing holes 10-18 in reverse - PLAYERS/GROUPS ON HIGHER NUMBER HOLES HAVE COURTESY TO PLAY THROUGH. In order to keep the course traffic moving. Groups on 1-9 allow the higher numbered hole to be completed before proceeding.
Blessings Church pastoral staff has 2 former state amateur champions (90s) on site for free lessons/ tour/ or competition. You lose, you come to church on Sunday :) Or you are welcome to come even if you win!
If the church is open (Tues Weds Thurs) - restrooms and discs are available to check out. For garbage there is a can at the NE corner of the church - otherwise please pack it in/pack it out.
This is a family friendly course and as a church with children on site, this is treated as zoned institutional so please; no smoking, alcohol, or inebriation.
The foot golf course is relegated to the northern (grassy area) - still under development, but will be completed by the Grand Opening of Father's Day 2/9/2024.
