History
Caney Creek Disc Golf Course was established in 2026 on a wooded property filled with native hardwoods such as oak, elm, and hickory. The course began taking shape in December 2025 when the property was first evaluated and it was determined that the land could support a full 18-hole layout. By the end of that month, the initial hole designs, tee box locations, and basket placements were mapped out to take advantage of the natural terrain and tree-lined fairways. Clearing of the fairways began in mid-January 2026 using a forestry mulcher to carve playable corridors through the woods. Despite some rainy winter weather slowing progress at times, the course steadily came together through January and early February. By mid-February the main clearing was complete, and baskets were installed later that month, allowing the course to open for play with only minor adjustments to tee placement as the layout was finalized. Today, Caney Creek offers a challenging wooded disc golf experience that highlights the natural beauty of the property.
