Headline
Secluded short technical course set among towering grand fir trees. Follow the directions in the course description.
Description
See directions below. The course plays through a shady tract of towering grand fir and ponderosa pine trees, and offers plentiful ace and birdie opportunities for experienced players. The large fir trees provide a unique setting compared to other courses in the area. The first tee pad is about 200 feet up the trail on the north side of the parking lot (the same side of the road as the cans you can see from the parking area). Look for vertical orange blazes on trees marking the trail. IMPORTANT NOTE: Do not rely on Apple or Google maps for directions because they do not recognize our Forest Service roads. Main Route for High Clearance Vehicles: Continue west on Cascade Lakes Highway for 1.4 miles past Seventh Mountain Resort and then turn right onto FS 4610. Take another right in 0.3 miles and then a left in 0.3 miles onto FS 246. Stay straight on FS 246 at the intersection in 1.2 miles and continue uphill for another 0.3 miles until you see FS 240 on the right near the intersection with Storm King bike trail. Turn onto FS 240 and park at the dead end (total of 2 miles from the highway). Low clearance vehicles might choose to take a smoother but slightly longer route. Follow Cascade Lakes Highway for 1.4 miles past Seventh Mountain Resort and then turn right onto FS 4610. Take another right in 0.3 miles and then a left in 0.8 miles onto FS 4615. Take another left in 0.8 miles and continue on this road for 0.8 miles (watch for waterbar speed bumps at the 0.5 mile mark) to the intersection with FS 246. Turn right and continue uphill for another 0.3 miles until you see FS 240 on the right near the intersection with Storm King bike trail. Turn onto FS 240 and park at the dead end (total of 3 miles from the highway). If the lower access road is closed, continue west on Cascade Lakes Highway 4.1 miles past Seventh Mountain Resort and turn right onto the unmarked Forest Service road. Stay straight/right immediately after leaving the highway and continue for 0.6 miles until the road forks. Take the right-hand fork at the top of the hill and then turn left in 0.8 miles on FS 240 near the intersection with Storm King bike trail (total of 1.5 miles from the highway).
