Decatur, Alabama
Description
Newly renovated and updated by Lavone Wolfe & Hall of Fame Course Design in September 2025. This is a challenging, but manageable, heavily wooded 18 hole course located at the beautiful Jack Allen Soccer Complex. While the course is mostly low in elevation, with lots of flat rock, dense woods, and plenty of "Flying Dragon" bushes, there is cart-friendly pathways to every basket and benches at every tee pad. All tee pads are brand new concrete pads with primary yellow Discatcher Baskets and alternate red Discatcher Baskets on a select few holes.

History
This course was established in 2012 by Tim Mitchell and Steve Wicker and has served the Decatur disc golf community well. Over the last 13 years, the course has gone through many changes, going from an 6 to 8 to 12 to 19 to a now fully renovated 18-hole course. About 2 years ago, with the help of Stephen Pirkle, State Senator Arthur Orr, Lavone Wolfe (Hall of Fame Disc Golf Course Design), and the City of Decatur, they began the process of funding and renovating this course to meet the needs of the growing disc golf community in North Alabama. Among the changes are brand-new concrete tee pads, refreshed Disc Catcher baskets, updated singage, benches at every hole, and the course is 100% cart friendly with crushed rock paths throughout!
