This is an 18-hole basket course designed with a variety of distances and obstacles. The location is near historic Fort Bayard, a 19th century US Army installation. When you're done playing, it is a fascinating area to explore the history of the area. The course advances through grasses with mixed piñon and juniper. Watch out for pointy plants and snakes. If you're lucky, you will see some javelina, deer or elk around the course. Also, there is a rifle range nearby that is pointed away from the course, but shots can be clearly heard.
