Description
This course is nestled within the historic beauty of a 125+ year old park in Oil City. Designed by David McCormack in 2011, this 18 hole course has evolved tremendously over the years. The recent addition of three sets of concrete tee pads — Red, White, and Blue — caters to players of all levels. Whether you're a beginner, intermediate, or advanced player, Hasson Park offers a diverse playing experience. From varied terrains that challenge your skills with elevation changes, park-style holes, and wooded sections, to holes that wind through stunning rhododendrons. The Rhododendron Arboretum was designed in 1961 to mirror the Royal Windsor Garden in England. Rhododendrons bloom in mid-April to July, with the peak bloom period occurring around late May into early June. The meticulous care of the course by the Oil City Public Works Department and the Oil Valley Disc Golf Society ensures a memorable and well-maintained experience. Stay tuned for upcoming improvements as the OVDGS works on installing new tee signs, enhancing walkways, and further enhancing this exceptional disc golf haven.
