Ice House Disc Golf Trail at the Globe Community Center Park
Description
We are calling this a trail rather than a park or course because we feel that is a better description on what to expect. Elevation changes, thin walking paths on hillsides, loose rocks, cat claw and cactus are all part of this course. The Ice House Disc Golf Trail is part of the Globe Community Center Park Complex. The course is played along the Ice House Canyon Creek. The parking lot for the course is located on the West side of the complex, just below the pool and the teeball fields. Take the dirt road that turns on a sharp, hard left that goes down the hill as you enter the park complex. Please use caution and be aware of any flash flood warnings. Bathrooms are by the park/pool. Moderately close to the basket for hole 8. Parking is in a small lot near Teepad #1. Hard paved roads are played as out of bounds. Use the pavement edge, or the white painted line- whatever favors the player. Fences are out of boundaries when there is a field behind the fence. Use the fence line to mark your last in play position,Hole 7 and 8 have out of bounds beyond the rocks that line the parking areas. Usually strung, but use your best judgement if not. Certain areas of the course are shared with youth sports- teeball, soccer, football and softball. Please be courteous and safe. Skip holes if they are crowded by cars or spectators. Follow Jesse Hayes past Canyon Fire Station and turn right at the Wooden sign that says Besh Ba Gowah. After the right it’s a steep hill the slowly turns right. You are looking for a first road that cuts off the hill left- just before the teeball fields (small dirt parking lot with picnic tables and shades.) If you get up to the pool you’ve gone just a bit too far
