Uncover Lanchester: Shaded Fairways and Fern-Lined Trails Await
Description
The Lanchester Disc Golf Course is a shaded, 9-hole course set in a mature woodland on the grounds of an active landfill. Towering hardwoods and a dense fern-covered forest floor create a technical and scenic playing experience for all skill levels. The course also shares space with the Lanchester Nature Trail, offering benches and relaxing trail segments alongside a competitive disc golf challenge.
🛑 Safety First: This course is located on a working landfill. All players must yield to staff and authorized vehicles at all times. Bug spray and sunscreen are recommended for your comfort.

Hole-by-Hole Course Highlights
Hole 1
Begins at the trailhead of the Lanchester Nature Trail. A narrow, wooded tunnel forces precision off the tee. This opening hole sets the tone for a technical round ahead.
Hole 2
Pro and Am pads diverge:
• Pro tee shoots over ridged forest terrain with a tight window.
• Am pad runs parallel but deeper into the woods. Ferns define boundaries, rewarding accurate placement.
Hole 3
Pro and Am share a tee, but Am players add a stroke. A rightward bend in the fairway leads toward a large hill. Overshooting risks an unforgiving slope beyond the pin.
Hole 4
A sweeping curve through forest brings you near a handicap-accessible hunting blind. The facility uses this blind during its annual Wounded Veterans Hunt each December. Please respect this space.
Hole 5
Players walk west along the mowed trail away from the blind.
• Am pad is located near the grassy trail.
• Pro tee is tucked into the woods.
Both require clearing a stormwater berm before reaching a slightly downhill basket.
Hole 6
Pro and Am share a tee. This is a signature downhill launch spanning nearly 550 feet. A rewarding opportunity for distance throwers.
Hole 7
A single tee launches into a straight lane that pivots right after ~170 feet. The figure-8 style approach leads uphill to a guarded green. Placement and approach control are key.
Hole 8
Separate Pro and Am pads. The basket hangs suspended from a tree, offering a unique challenge. This hole weaves through a peaceful section of the Lanchester Nature Trail featuring benches and scenic rest points.
Hole 9
A straight shot to a raised basket on a grassy mound. A clean finish that loops players back to the parking area and trailhead.
