Description
The Norris Disc Golf Course is a nine-hole recreational course with A and B positions on each hole (providing 18-hole playability.) Some elevation change on hole 2, 3, and 9. 100% wooded resulting in a shaded 'technical' course devoid of tricks.
Playable by any age group or skill level. Clear hole-to-hole signage. Good balance between RHBH and LHBH fade.
NDGC is located at Norris Community Building at 20 Chestnut Drive, Norris TN 37828.
Hole 1 (original) has been permanently decommissioned.
Hole 2 (original) is now Hole 1.
there is a new Hole 2 located a bit before the new #1 DISCatcher and downhill to the right
Parking lot is located at the tennis courts or at Eric Harold Park parking lot.
Practice basket located at rear of Tennis Courts.
Loaner Discs are always available.
Please return when done enjoying.
Bathrooms and drinking water at the City Building year round M-F, from 9 to 4pm (only).
Port-a-John is available 24/7 year-round.
NOTICE OF IMPROVEMENTS IN PROCESS:
In 2026 the current tennis courts, non-functioning bathrooms, and Hole 1 will be replaced by a grant funded project.
The new Norris Sports Complex will include new
1) Tennis Courts
2) Pickleball Courts
3) Multi-purpose/multi-use Basketball Court
4) Expanded parking and
5) On-site water fountain
6) Year-round bathrooms.
In advance of the completion of the Norris Sports Complex we are
1) Hole 1 (original is permanently closed
2) Hole 2 (original) is now Hole 1
3) Hole 2 (new) is playable. Fairway cleanup and signage is in process.
2) several new alternative basket sleeve locations are in process (ETA July 2025)
3) addition of mulch on fairways and
4) berming of all tee pads with #10 gravel is underway (ETA June 2025)
5) 9 new DISCatcher positions are in development (ETA Oct 2025)
