Description
Welcome to the Disc Golf Course at Northwest Branch Recreational Park! This is Montgomery Parks’ first course in Montgomery County, Maryland, built in 2025. The 18-hole layout has two loops of 9 holes, each of which begins from and returns to the gathering area. Each hole has 2 sets of teepads (Red and Blue) and most have multiple basket locations (on rotation). A plaza area, including portable bathroom, is slated to be constructed during winter 2025-2026 between the practice basket and hole 9. History
Montgomery Parks is planning for this disc golf course not only because players have been requesting one for years, but it’s also recommended in the 2022 Parks Recreation and Open Space Plan (PROS) as a facility type we should be providing to county residents. In 2024, a design/build team of Intreegue Designs (landscape architecture, Brightview (landscaping contractor), and Fish Disc Golf (disc golf course design) won the project bid. After the initial layout was approved, the course proceeded through permitting along with a separate project for a plaza area on-site. Brightview built the course throughout summer/fall 2025. If you like what you see, please help voice your support for future disc golf courses in Montgomery County!
