Headline
Beginner Level 9 Hole Course to Introduce Players to the Sport
Description
The Palmer Park Junior DGC is geared towards beginners, youth, seniors, and less able bodied players. For more experienced players, the Junior course is a great warm-up, putter round prior to hitting the main course. The course was sponsored by the Paul McBeth Foundation (PMF) in collaboration with the People for Palmer Park and the City of Detroit. PMF creates sustainable disc golf opportunities in underserved areas where access to the sport is limited or non-existent. Specifically, the foundation aims to introduce the sport to new and youth players, and the course has been designed with these players in mind. With suitable distances and challenges, the course is intended to provide new players with an opportunity to learn the game of disc golf while also accommodating more experienced players who may wish to practice their short game with putters and midranges. The hope is that this course will encourage greater interest in disc golf and help to foster a new generation of players.
