History
Patriots Disc Golf Course was established at Patriots Elementary School in 2013. There was a 9-hole loop that went around the school. As neighborhood developments were built around the school, many of the baskets were pulled up due to them being on the border of private property. For many years, there were 3 baskets on the campus and anyone who came to play gave the course a deservedly poor review. Fast forward to the fall of 2024. In the wooded area adjacent to the school, the baskets were repositioned, new fairways were cut, and new signs were made. The course was rebranded as Redhawks Disc Golf Course. It has become a popular 9-hole course that emulates what Charlotte disc golf is; tight wooded lines that play through a forest of large trees. The course is short and 7 of the 9 holes are very reachable, but it will punish you if you don't hit a line. Anything less than a birdie (for an experienced disc golfer) on any hole feels like a lost stroke.
