Description
The Snowmass Disc Golf Course, established in 1997, sits on the Snowmass Ski Resort in Snowmass Village, Colorado. This 18-hole course features yellow Innova Discatcher Pro baskets and dirt tee boxes, most with rubber mats. The course offers long-distance holes for big throwers and technical shots through Aspen and evergreen tree groves, with some trees notched from past errant throws. Several downhill holes offer big drives. Access requires a 15- to 30-minute uphill hike from parking lots 12 or 13 to the first hole, marked by a picnic table and UDisc sign. Village Shuttle also offers free rides to the access road at “Top of The Village”. Keep your eyes peeled for PINK ribbons and yellow arrows marking the trails to the next tee and also to hole #1. The high-altitude terrain, above 8,000 feet, blends open meadows and forested fairways, challenging both power and precision. Bring bright colored discs for higher visibility. Long pants or gators also recommended. Get lost in the beauty of one of the most spectacular courses the sport has to offer!
