History
HB contacted the park department in 2004 at a Parks Trade Show, and the director called him in the Summer of 2005 and wanted a price to do "one of those Turn Key projects. HB designed the course, at the time the area over the walking trail had not been mowed for many years (all 8' high growth. HB and his Son cleared, mowed, cut, and then installed the course for a early 2006 opening. In 2022 the newly formed Paducah Sports Park board contracted with HB to redesign the course as three holes were going to be eliminated. Over the course of the next few years, the effect on the course keep expanding, and in late 2024 HB resigned from the Park design team as they decided that Disc Golf was not a priority and a playground and open space walkways that were now interfering with the safety of the disc golf proposals.
