The original nine at Sunset Park was forged by Dave Paskett. That historic nine-hole layout continues to anchor the experience, still played as the front nine in the full Masters 18. The back nine grew more organically—those holes trace their roots to early installations favored by local players during the course’s early years, and later formalized by a few local designs. Front Nine (Paskett’s Original Layout) Tight, precise, and rooted in tradition—this front nine blends mid-length Par 3s with a couple of strategic Par 4s. Each hole rewards accuracy off the tee and thoughtful, controlled approaches. While friendly enough for newcomers, it still challenges intermediate and advanced players with its refined balance. Back Nine (Local Favorite Expansion) This section visits more varied terrain: pocketed woods, and open 400ft throws. These holes play with a stronger emphasis on shot placement, and disc speed control. Flow & Etiquette - There are overlapping lanes and mixed tee placements—players on the front nine retain right of way over back-nine groups. This priority ensures smooth progression and reduces congestion or confusion on shared fairways. Mutual awareness and courteous communication are key to a safe and respectful round.
