The Levee is an 18 hole Disc Golf course with Night Disc Golf
Description
The Levee has 24 marked concrete tee pads with 6 long pads and 36 tee positions running along the water's edge. The practice basket/meeting area is approximately 600’ from the Storm Stadium parking lot with designated free parking for the Levee. Disc golf is free to play and open daily, the course is open from sunrise to 11pm. There are solar lights along the existing walking path where the pads are located, with 18 baskets that have lights for night Disc golf.
The walking trail is a hazard penalty, play at your lie, the lake water is out of bounds along with the rocks on hole 3, take a one shot penalty where last inbounds. The course is laid out on the lake side of the Levee and plays straight out 18 holes 1.6 miles, it is a long walk back, but you can play the course with your bicycle and bring your dog. The course is laid out this way because the other side of the Levee is an environmentally protected area. You can play the course back in starting at hole 18 pad if you prefer as it's not a busy course. You can also play 9 holes out and 9 holes back starting at tee pad 11, pick your layout. There are 8 manmade obstacles because trees and gophers are not allowed which would compromise the Levees integrity, more obstacles to come. There are portable restrooms at the practice area, hole 4, and hole 18 which are well maintained.

History
The Levee has been a popular walking/bicycle path along the lake water's edge for many years. The course and lights were proposed and designed by longtime resident and avid disc golfer Chris Smith in 2022. The City of Lake Elsinore paid for and installed the lights and course in August 2024 and completed the course in Aug 2025. The cities motto is "DREAM EXTREME" and they were excited to install one of the few Night Disc Golf courses in Southern CA.
