A blend of Red, Blue and White tees to create the best combination of variety of shot, challenging mandos and a little bit of length to create our competition 18.

Hole notes

Some holes are played from the red brick tees, the blue brick tees and the remainder are played from 10cm white plastic discs pegged to the ground. All hole distances follow the fairway lines so some holes may play a little shorter than score card distances. All hole descriptions are from a right handed point of view, sorry Joshua.

Notes

Play from the blue 1st tee. Gravel path to the left, long and beyond is OB. A very easy hole that should be a birdie for most players. Control your distance and don't get caught on the tree root at edge of circle in front of the basket.

Play from the white 2nd tee. Gravel path to the left and beyond is OB. A flexing backhand or long forehand out over the OB both set up a good birdie chance.

Notes

Play from the blue 3rd tee. Gravel path to the right and beyond is OB. The pond that is pin high left is also OB if there is water. Any disc completely surrounded by water is out. If the pond is dry then it is your lucky day! Dead straight is best but there is a forehand line, even if it is tight.

Notes

Play from the blue 4th tee. Gravel path to the left, long and beyond is OB but shouldn't come into play. A straight shot with a late stable finish right will get an easy look at birdie. There is generally a good skip to be had off the hard ground.

Notes

Play from the white 5th tee. Walking track is not OB. There is a double mando approximately 35m in front of the basket. If you miss the mando take a drop 1m from the bottom of the mando tree you missed. The staggered gap off the tee can be off-putting. A long flexing forehand could work if you have it. Otherwise anything that sets up a shot to or through the mando down the fairway is best.

Notes

Play from the red 6th tee. Gravel path to the right of the stand of trees along the right of the fairway and beyond is OB but should not come into play. There is room for a wide turn over or a forehand, whatever takes your fancy.

Notes

Play from the white 7th tee. Gravel path to the right and beyond is OB. Any disc that never crosses in bounds must be replayed from the tee with a one shot penalty. There is a mando right 50m off the tee and a double mando guarding the entrance to the dogleg left (approx 95m off the tee). Someone throwing long might need a spotter to see the mando entrance. A backhand will probably be best but finishing too far left will close off the entry to the mando.

Notes

Play from the blue 8th tee. No OB or hazards to avoid. Throw 80m around the gum in the middle of the fairway will set up an easy approach to the basket and birdie. Anything long left off the tee will create a difficult shot to the basket.

Play from the red 9th tee. The inside line of the rocks determining the boundary of the car park is OB. Any disc coming to rest on top of the cricket nets is OB. Neither of these should come into play. Straight line to the basket is shorter but needs to crash through the guardian trees. Follow the fairway is a bit longer and would need a strong forehand.

Play from the red 3rd tee. Gravel path to the right and beyond is OB. The pond that is pin high left is also OB if there is water. Any disc completely surrounded by water is out. If the pond is dry then it is your lucky day! A great birdie chance for every player. Dead straight 50m. Must get!

Play from the white 4th tee. Gravel path to the left, long and beyond is OB but shouldn't come into play. A long late finishing hyzer is the obvious line. Lowish ceiling makes it harder to get the distance. Catching the edge should get a favourable skip at the end.

If you miss the mando take a drop 1m from the bottom of the mando tree you missed. A shorter version of hole 5, a strong throw could challenge the mando. Or a layup is still a good play to get through the trees and set up a birdie.

Play from the white 6th tee. Gravel path to the right of the stand of trees along the right of the fairway and beyond is OB. Probably the toughest hole to park for a birdie. Only a long flexing forehand finishes towards the basket. Everything else will finish outside circle for an obstructed or long putt.

Notes

Lady Luck! Play from the blue 7th tee. Many a good looking shot catches a branch or skips off a root to finish outside circle or obstructed. There is room for a long turn over or a straight forehand with a stable right finish, either have the best chance of getting to the basket.

Notes

Play from the white 8th tee. No OBs or mandos on this hole. Any drive that finishes left or right of the first big gum in the middle of the fairway opens up a clear line either side of the row of gums further down the fairway. Finishing in line with the same tree or long left makes the second shot difficult.

Play from the white 9th tee. The inside face of the rocks determining the car park boundary is OB but shouldn't be a worry. Any disc coming to rest on top of the cricket nets is OB, also unlikely. Straight at the hole plays about 100m but needs some luck to find a gap through the trees. A long forehand can follow the fairway and finish late through the intended fairway line..good luck with that!
