Located along the scenic riverfront near Grand Junctionโs Botanical Gardens, Watson Island offers a fun, free-to-play disc golf experience for players of all skill levels, designed by Grand Valley Disc Golf Club in collaboration with the Grand Junction Parks and Recreation Department. This well-loved 24-hole course features a mostly flat layout with a mix of open throws and technical shots, a variety of distances, and multiple water hazards that keep each round interesting. The concrete and brick tee pads and Mach VII targets provide quality infrastructure, while cart- and stroller-friendly paths make it accessible for casual rounds with friends and family. With wide public appeal and consistently strong community ratings, Watson Island is a popular local favorite thatโs great for both quick rounds and extended play.
