About the course

The course map and hole 1 are located in the lower parking lot. Restrooms are located near hole 11's tee pad, to the right of hole 11's basket, and beside hole 12's basket. Most of the holes have benches. 4, 8 and 14 are wooded holes. Holes 15, 16 and 17 have elevation changes. Holes 2 and 10 have Mando arrows. The original 19 hole layout uses yellow Innova DISCatcher baskets. Alternate basket locations have been added on holes 2, 3, 11, 13, 14, 15 and 16 and use red Veteran baskets. Hole 14 has two alternate locations, B and C, with one red basket rotated between the two periodically. The local disc golf club helps the city maintain the course and consistently works to improve it. Be aware of walkers and other park-goers as you play.

History

The original nine hole course in Winchester City Park was first installed around 1979-1980 and was one of the first courses in Tennessee. It was redesigned to a nineteen hole course in 2015 by Mark and Vern Landrum. Innova DISCatcher Pro 28-chain baskets were installed in late 2021. Eight alternate hole locations on seven holes have been added recently for additional variety.

Great park course; cruising to Nashville and dropped by given traffic was jammed up. Unique shot shapes and some good design elements throughout. Back 9 was better challenge w some good par 3s and soft 4s. Will def revisit if I’m ever through. Beautiful scenery and kudos to the Park+DG community for taking care of the course

Extremely pretty Park style course. Lake views on almost every hole. Very beginner friendly with a few poke and hope lines and a chance to air it out once or twice. Udisc needs a major update on 16 and some minor ones on a few others
