@stabenau
Unfinished course and overcharged. This caliber of course is not worth $10... it's mostly beginner friendly but lacks any excitement to want to play again. Not a challenging course. With some time and navigational help this course has potential to be enjoyable.. if charged $10 for a round can I atleast get a beer with it? I'm not interested in your pool tables or darts or bag toss.....
@smither76
I think the vision was there. However, there are no teepads, no tee signs, no distances outside of the UDisc app. To make people pay for a completely unfinished product is kind of nuts. The shot variety is not there, most shots are flat and straight.
@michaelc
I need teepads and a variety of shot shaping opportunities with trash or recycling options. Charging 10 dollars for an unfinished product is unacceptable.
@connoruity
Unfinished course with no signage and long grass to lose a disc. Wooden tee pads that you can break an ankle on makes you want tee off the side. It’s ridiculous they make you pay for this bad of a course. I’ll will never play here again.
@sturmans
I do not want to be critical, but Shorewood is a Championship Pro Level Course for free and Backyard Brews is $10. I've been to 120 courses in the past year and I've noticed the 5 to 7 dollar courses have long and short cement tee pads, sometimes mids, 2 to 4 basket placements, and signage pristine. Also, benches, trash/recycling, and brooms to sweep pad at every, pad. This lot and course has a good amount of potential and I had to play 2 rounds to make the payment worth it in my head. 3 stars until you start getting disc golf amenities on the course. I can see 18 more holes introduced and more upgrades eventually, but this is tough to fork over this expectation amount. I am never this critical of a pay to play like I am today. And I understand the cost of everything. Hopefully reviews improve over the years in the future.
@ampfluger
Fun, legitimate course and another option for the Green Bay disc golf scene! This place absolutely does not deserve all the negative reviews it has recently gotten and it's such a shame that those users felt the need to leave them. They should try buying their own 35-are former golf course and opening up an 18-hole disc golf course on it and have to pay for maintenance themselves and decide whether the entry fee is reasonable. Anyway, this course was much larger than I expected, it took my friend and I two hours to finish it in good conditions and it tired me out, lol. The grass was long but it was literally being cut on a holiday while we were there so we got to play the back nine freshly mowed. Not sure if the gentleman mowing was the owner but he was very nice and stopped the tractor to let us play through the hole he was working on. The course is fun and holes are legit distances but many are attackable for birdie for more experienced players which makes it fun. Couple well designed water shots (water is gross lol). As of memorial day 2025 all holes have wooden painted elevated tee boxes larger enough for casual players but they will surely not satisfy the snobby tee box police on this app. The holes lack signage to tell you distances and it's clear they expect you to use disc for that. The course does have excellent signage to tell you where the next hole is, super easy way finding, there is never any chance that you will be lost. I couldn't in good faith leave five stars because there's just not a super exciting level of shot variety/terrain here but that's not the owner's fault by any means. In all, we had a great time and had the course to ourselves, and felt the entry fee was nothing compared to what it must take to maintain this huge private course. Will be back! If you're a fun loving disc golfer ignore the bad reviews and come support this place.
@dcape14
No tee pads, no signs, no variety. Every shot seemed just straight with no variety or obstacles to overcome. So many holes I looked at the tee pad and pin placement and wondered how they managed to make the holes as boring as they did. Just moving the pins or tee pads ever so slightly would make the course so much better. This course also starts with a 160ish foot par 3 and one of the holes on the back nine is 400+ feet with a required 325 foot water carry if you try to park it. Very strange. Definitely not worth $10 when you consider the free courses right around there. I will definitely not go back.
@apcarver
Good offering in the West De Pere area, but absolutely suffers after rain because it's allegedly part of the undesirable flood plain that was sold off. Zero signage so you have to rely on uDisc for all navigation and even approximate teepads. For holes with constructed tee teeboxes, I found myself not using them because they're surprisingly small and the paint used is not grippy at all and is quite slick. That being said, there's a lot of potential. The property is beautiful, and there's opportunity to have 2 baskets per hole for a variety of shot shapes. Maybe they can find a way to lay down concrete pads (use French wells?)
@benn143
This course is a really fun mix of wooded and long open holes! Some really picturesque holes tucked into the late front early back. Overall I think the designer did a great job with the space!!
@bigredtricks
With a bit of matenance, concrete teepads and tee signs this could be one of the nicest wisconsin courses. Most water features on a course that ive played in wi.
@timmyhomuth
First time here and im excited to see what can come of this course. We played in the rain so the grass tees were muddy. With it being a new course and learning how it floods on some holes I hope they do some changes to help with not tearing the course up on rainy/spring days. Great baskets on a new course and would come back in 6 months to see how this course fairs in the fall and the growth it'll have. Worth trying at least once and remember it's a new course so lots of changes to come.
@njmiller88
Fun course with somewhat challenging greens
@jlinse85
Don't let the first few holes deceive you, this course gets challenging. I am more than happy to pay the entry fee as this is a private course and is still in the works. Money don't grow on trees for upkeep, baskets, concrete tees and fighting FEMA/DNR to allow them. Talked with the owner after the round and shared my thoughts on a few holes and he was extremely receptive to making changes that would make the course more enjoyable and challenging. Not your fault that you can't get concrete in yet, so I cant give ya the 5th star, YET!
@jrwinters7
Awesome place. Such a great spot to bring friends or family, ESPECIALLY if you disc golf!
@wardaddy1969
Fun new course with a good variety of holes that beginners and advanced disc golfers will find challenging. Engaged owners and good beer :)
@kevinsmetana
Great set up better every time I come
@rbartel28
Nice course and was a fun round. A little difficult to navigate, but UDisc maps kept up well. Fun holes and not super challenging, but having tee pads would enhance the experience. Overall, pretty good course.
@brinkj724
It was a fun course. I will definitely play it again. One thing that I would like to see in the future is some tee pads and tee signs
@deadman2516
once tee pads and signage is installed my rating will change
@darinkane
Really is friendly for both beginners and experienced players. Becoming my favorite course in the area
