I’ve been coming to PR for nearly 45 years (mostly when I was younger on family vacations to Rincon). I’ve been playing disc for the last 25 years & was beyond stoked to hear about the development of this course! I played for the first time today & travelled from Rincon to check it out (distance is irrelevant when you have a passion for dg) The design is varied & gets the most out of what is essentially a flat & open terrain. I was impressed with the use of natural obstacles to increase challenge & diversification of layouts. Course is set upon a nice, scenic park that borders the ocean. I mean…playing disc amongst swaying palms with waves crashing nearby on a tropical beach is about as perfect as it gets as far as settings go. Early days as I know improvements will be made but way finding can be a bit tricky in some areas. Directional arrows or “next tee” markers on the baskets would be helpful. Overall, I really enjoyed playing this course…great job with the design & wonderful to see such a volunteer effort come to fruition …that’s my wheelhouse right there! ⛓️❤️⛓️ Play tip: wind is pretty constant on the course, so best to have some overstable discs on the bag. Take your time putting…the wind is def an added challenge.
