About the course

The Ymir Whirl Disc Golf Course was originally located on Porto Rico - Ymir Road in the mid 90's. After the Ministry of Agriculture and Lands completed the reclamation and restoration of the Yankee Girl Tailings site, the course was moved and renamed "Clover Bear". In late 2022, a Columbia Basin Trust Grant was awarded to the Kootenay Rockies Disc Golf Association which enabled the installation of Disc Golf Park Pro Baskets, concrete tee pads, course map and tee signs.

This course is fun, I like the creative places where targets are in use of platforms. There are some elevated shots, which are always fun. Downsides, lots of trash holy hell people pick up your garbage and junk. People who use the park don’t seem to pack out what they bring. If you need beer cans, there are enough to pick up around this course. All bicycles and junk in some various parts of the course ruined the beauty a little bit. Otherwise a fun course.

Cool course in a quiet area. Shots are challenging but not grueling and it's a good use of the space. We'll kept by the local community. Some overlap of holes but it's not a busy course. Absolutely worth checking out.
