This course has so much going for it: beautiful setting, wonderfully maintained fairways, 3 tee locations and thoughtful touches around the pins (loved the brick C1 circle). BUT the lack of tee pads really detracts from the experience. Trying to throw hard on a 700+ foot hole from an ungraded dirt tee “area” just isn’t great. Maybe there are local regulations or environmental reasons why they don’t have them here, but it still makes the game less enjoyable when your focus is pulled from the shot due to poor footing. If this course had tee pads and quality tee signs it would be an easy 4.5.

@northernpines
Fair par for the distances; nice variety of 3s, 4s, and a 5. If you like not knowing where the basket is I highly recommend this course as half the holes are blind from the tee, but if youre like me and like knowing where you're throwing, there are better courses that don't make you walk half way up the fairway.

@philrush
Tee pads would make the difference.

@mikelennett
There's only a few wooded holes, but almost all holes have some type of obstacle to go around. Fun course.

@inhughmane
An interesting course nestled in a beautiful park! This course had so much variety - we had a blast playing the white tees. If this course had some concrete tees it’d be a 5! I feel like 4.0 is way too low of a rating for this course. Come check it out!!
@apimarty
Love the new tee signs. Played white for the first time. Scored better than red. Go figure. I guess I was laying up from the red tees. Great course for both beginners and intermediate. Pros might find it a bit short.

@geigerhyzer
The course offers good challenge and great variety. Would be top tier with some love to the tee pads and signage!/

@cntbg23
Front nine gonna give you that work. Back nine is mad fun. Can be rough at times but good course to just throw and kick it wit the homies.

@yakk73
Amazing update! Pittsburgh's funnest course? 2 of us Played through in 1:40 minutes. 5⭐️

Great for the area, slightly above average overall!

@greghaag2
This course is incredibly fun. Every single shot in anyone’s repertoire is going to be thrown at this course. Great job ladies and gentlemen. PUT IN TEE PADS!!

@elijahsmith
Mulch/grass tee pads are reasonably maintained. Some of the hole lengths are pretty inaccurate, but excellent course otherwise!

@cwilkins88
Signs and arrows are now up so must be recent from past comments. Nice new layout! Dirt tee boxes are rough. But, overall huge improvements. Still feels like throwing through a bushwhacked field in some areas

@wowitsclayton
Tee pads please. But otherwise a fun course. A few holes could use a redesign.

The framework for a good course is here. I was impressed by a complete redesign of this course and property. This is the style of course that I feel was needed in town too. It's a nice change of the pace from big and long. Not that this course is easy, there are some tricky holes that need good disc placement. The course holes bunch tightly together, which makes both tourney play a bit tricky. And while there are holes here that I love, there are more than a few that felt like filler holes. The landscaping is still a bit raw and ugly on the new holes. Worst, the town won't allow tees to be built, so there are beat up areas to throw from, some of which they keep moving because they are already getting torn up and hard to throw from.

The new 18 hole layout is great. Looking forward to seeing the course continue to improve. Thanks to everyone involved.

So I haven’t played here since it was a 9 hole course at least six or seven years ago. If I was to say that this is even the same course, I would be hard pressed to make myself believe that. I have heard about the redesign for the last year or two. I took a hiatus from playing over the last couple years and have only played 10 or 20 times in the last two years. Health issues were keeping me from wanting to play. Fast-forward, and I was getting no better, so I decided to start throwing again just to test it out. A big surprise to me is I actually started feeling better throughout the week when I played one round on the weekends. Now, I make myself go play at least one round a week and this is where my round brought me this week. I knew I wanted to go to a course that was not one of my local ones. I can get here in a little less than an hour and have been meaning to try the new design out. This course is fantastic! Some of the redesigned holes reminds me of some of the holes that were redesigned at knob Hill a handful of years ago. I remember years ago a lot of of these holes just playing around the ball fields. I think that the new design completely gives this course a much much needed change. Tight lines and definitely Western Pennsylvania disc golf. I had to think about where I wanted my placement shots to land, considering that a lot of the fairways are slanted. I would definitely recommend giving this course. A try if you never have or if you like me have never tried out the new redesign since the old course was here. Great job!
