This is a very good course and well worth your time. The great folks at the shop recommended I play the OG white for my first round which I really enjoyed. All the tee pads were clear even in the dead of winter. The holes are thoughtfully designed and reward smart play and putting. The signage is good and the property is very accessible. There are even full sets of steps on most of the steep areas. There are extended walks between some holes. On OG white, they’re not bad at all. On White Efficient there is literally a thousand foot walk between holes 4 and 5 (6D). It gets weirder from there and doubles back multiple times and crisscrosses the stream. Not great. I wish I had time to play the other layouts so I could include them in my assessment. But based on what I’ve seen, this course isn’t quite on the level of a true #1 (see Faylor Lake or New London.) Regardless, your time will be well spent if you come and visit. Buy some discs at the shop and support the good folks who are making this course one of the best in the Midwest.
