Apple Mountain Resort – Needs to Be Removed from UDisc I traveled up from Mobile to hike around Tallulah Falls and was excited to squeeze in a round at Apple Mountain since it was close to my Airbnb. Unfortunately, the course was a big letdown. The first five holes are basically just wide-open field shots with very little shot variety. The two par 4s are extremely short and really should be labeled as par 3s—definitely not challenging enough to earn the par 4 designation. Holes 6 and 7 offered a refreshing change with some technical wooded lines. I actually managed to birdie both with tight, laser-straight shots that parked under the basket—probably the highlight of the course. From there, I was excited to continue into the woods, but I couldn’t even find holes 8, 9, 10, or 11. After some wandering, I discovered they’ve all been abandoned. I even found the tee marker for hole 13 just lying under a log. It’s clear that this course is no longer being maintained properly. This is essentially a 7-hole course now, and it really shouldn’t be listed on UDisc in its current state. It’s misleading for people traveling to the area hoping to play a full round.
@magicmangaming
An absolute Northern Georgia gem. Who needs courses like North Cove, Sertoma, or Lula when you have Apple Mountain. I don’t even think a pro could shoot E here it’s so challenging.
@cdavila13
I would recommend setting up tee spots and remove a couple of trees or move the basket in hole 9.
@dang6998
Had a bad storm and trees knocked out half of the course. No signs to point where to go. No tee pads. 8-16 are no longer active due to the storm. 8 and nine are now the 17-18. So only nine holes but not bad for a quick round. 2-15-25
@voidyboiii
No tea pads, after basket seven U-Disc doesn’t have it mapped. And it’s only a 9-basket course. Hope to see improvement! It could definitely be a nice course if improved.
@tojoshua
The first part of the course is just a circle in an open field. The second half is thru the woods along a path. This is not a course. This is something just putting baskets in a field and along a path in the woods. Worst course I've ever played. Also, no map.
@ryankrick
Not well maintained - lots of holes had little room to throw and very few lines.
@slick50
Nice course. Could improve by leveling baskets and there are no tee pads. Pretty beginner friendly
@froglump
Not too bad of a course. Had fun. No tee pads. A few have some tee markers but most are rotted away. Definitely wouldn’t have found some of the tees without the UDisc map.
@amberfarmer
Some tee signs are missing.
@jpalmer4
You have to be a member of the hotel to play. So do not go register just start playing and no one will say anything
@willperry
Fun and tough in spots
@dpat704
“Spider” woods are almost unplayable
@jtj1996
This course from holes 8-16 is pretty much unplayable. This could easily be a fantastic 9 hole course and you could even keep a few of the playable wooded holes. I was honestly shocked to see the back 9 as bad as it was as the rest of the resort has pretty high quality amenities. They should definitely reimagine the disc golf course or just go ahead and get rid of it.
@mkwilliams28
Not open to the public. Must be “staying at the property” to play.
@parkersspace
I never found basket 16 and 14 was missing a sign for tee. Maybe a tree was on top of it. Otherwise not a bad course. Wooded mostly so accurate throwers will do best. I'm tempted to give it a 4 cause it does have 18 holes
@soulslinger
The front 7 is fun, but once you get into the woods holes 8 and 11 are unplayable and the mosquitoes are insane! Also there was horse poop all over the trail.
@swankyluke
Very basic course. No tee pads, and you cannot play unless you’re a member.
@jotafer1969
Nice mixture of woods and open areas. Very beautiful place. Some tees are difficult to locate.
