About the course
Pro and amateur tee pads and multiple targets on several holes. Free wifi at park facilities. The course is located in magnificent Ashe County Park - note the closing time as you enter.
Beautifully maintained with some long range mountain views. Bring your fitness, especially if you plan to play the back 9. The 1st tee is located past the basketball courts by the covered picnic areas. When you see the county maintenance folks, thank them!
The front 9 (really the "front 11" with holes 9A/9B) is somewhat open with an epic water hole on #3, and a number of challenging lines through the larger trees. The back 9 is much more technical in the heavier woods, with substantial elevation changes in spots. Some holes are blind and/or have very heavy rough, consider a spotter if you aren't familiar with the course.

Don't go on weekends, the blues are odd on a few holes. I would try all star next time, hopefully it cuts out the bad holes
