I've heard great things about this course so traveling up here to play was exciting. I know it's newer but man what a jungle if your off the nicely mowed fairway. Walking backwards to play another 700-1000ft hole is just bad design. Crossing a fairway to get to the next hole is not good. To say I'm not impressed might be an understatement but it'll grow and could definitely be better but for now some holes just don't make sense with the flow. Feels like it was put in to be big and nothing more.
@bradjb
Beautiful and awesome course. It is a bomber course for any of the tee pads though so be warned. Lots of variety and elevation changes Fairways are very clear and nice. However don’t get off them because you’ll be spending a lot of time looking for discs Also come with water this is a long walk
@tblair10
Need a spotter if you go but this is the best course in Ohio.
@spikehyzer704
Once this course gets tee pads, it will be one of the best courses in Ohio.
@jreese82
Amazing championship level course. 3 tee pads on each hole. Course is very well maintained and has a lot of shot variety/elevation. Concrete tree pads were being installed today (6/10/25)
@austinpfaff
A few holes need redesigns. For example I played the Championship tees and hole 5’s second shot doesn’t make any sense going down into the valley. Either the tree line on the right needs to be pushed out or there needs to be more clearing on the left side at the bottom. Hole 8’s tee from the professional box is blocked by a wall with no discernible line. 12’s fairway is a poorly angled. 16’s box is directly behind a tree which forces this weird turnover flex. Lastly, it’d be nice to get 18’s fairway cut wider than 10 feet. Be cautious of ticks in the grass as well as bees on hole 7 (got lit up on the left side of the fairway). It’s a fairly open course, so bring lots of water if you’re playing on a hot day.
@brian6
Teepads are being poured!!! Rough is VERY rough. Wear pants and keep it in the fairway.
@finalcut
Only knock is the tee pads. Just beautiful otherwise. Tough from the pro tees. Imagine really hard from champs. Some baskets are hard to find is it's your first time playing
@completelycory
This would be a 5 star course if they had cement pads. This is one of the best courses I’ve ever played. Why is this not on the pro tour?!? Oh yeah, the tee pads…
@danhogansl
The course quality in terms of the hole design is really good. It’s a mix of technical, open, and fun. A lot of big shots with placement and some tighter lines/elevation change. I’ve had an opportunity to play a lot of really good courses and the potential with concrete boxes for this to be one of the better courses in the area is high. This course has gravel pads, it could go from really good to excellent with some concrete pads.
@lorenb
When this course gets concrete teepads in, it will be exquisite. Park by the basket for hole 18, not the parking lot where UDisc sends you. If you don’t like throwing bombs, this course is probably not ideal. Definitely play greens if you fall in this category. It worked for me :-)
@mwatkins239
This is a great discussion golf course. Challenging and well designed. Big fan!
@cthediesel22
Great layout, all shots & views. Sure pads could be nicer but what’s not to like about throwing plastic in beautiful Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Great time Pro tip, start on 12 & finish on 11 to loop back to main parking lot otherwise long walk back after 18 if starting at 1
@treeslxyr
Can’t wait till teepads are in. One of the closest to pro courses that we have in NEO. A few teepad layouts need readjusted (15 green, 13 green). 15 doesn’t have a good line to the basket for the par. 13s pads need swapped. The green is the hardest shot. 8s lines need cleaned up. Especially from red. Regardless, plethora of potential. The maintenance is really good. I appreciate those that take care of it!
@smithja7
This course is right there! New pads and clear signage and trails for each layout and it’s one of the best in NE Ohio! Where can I donate?
@markfed7
Pros: -3 tees, new baskets, solid tee signs, well mowed Cons: Despite some truly excellent and high level designed holes (see 5, 6, 9, 11, and 18), they are overshadowed by boring, trite, and unfun holes. Lack of any benches, shaded spots, and missing paths from pins to some tees through the tall grass also hurt this review. Far too many backtracking walks. I cannot imagine enjoying the majority of the course as a lefty. Several holes that have not had the proper maintenance to ensure a fair tee shot (1, 5, 10, and 12). Multiple boring holes that could easily be made interesting with a tee relocation (3, 12, 13, and 17). 3 and 17 are 2 of the worst holes for backtracking and should be redesigned or moved. This course could be one of the best in Ohio, but unfortunately it falls well short of what it could be.
@fletchman11
Bombers professional course 💣 🥏💪🩵 Multiple tees too 👐
@arsenic
It’s long with tall grass for the rough, challenging pin placement and great use of the elevation changes. Good signage and options for different level of players. Some holes are unnecessarily hard (5 and 11) Not for beginners. Solid 4* course once the tee pads become permanent and not the gravel pits they currently have.
@jeyc42
Has good potential, but really needs concrete teepads and some cleaning up of branches. Also could maybe use a redesign of one of the two short downhill holes, they're essentially the same shot. Otherwise, has great promise. The Gulley hole is one of the best par 5's I've played from the championship tee.
