This is a true gem of a course and worth a drive from anywhere. Two tee pads and two baskets on each hole offers a multitude of layout options for play. The scenery and hole design are top tier with fantastic upkeep. There is lots to do for the whole family here as well if you have some that are averse to chucking plastic. I will come here again and again.
@drhobo123
Awful, shoots are too easy par 4s should be par 3s and to get to each pad it's over 200 feet so your walking forever
@brockandpatty
The long pads from 7-12 are not ideal and cut out the natural lines of the fairways otherwise awesome course and a big walk I’d recommend short to long on 7-12 and long to long on the rest. Other than that it’s an awesome course and a big walk
@brbullard
I love this course! The longest layout is very challenging, but not so hard that it’s totally demoralizing and the short layout seems very approachable for beginners. One of my favorite courses I’ve ever played.
@davidkessler
Overall an exceptional course, my only feedback is include the red next tee direction arrows (installed on some baskets) pointing which way to transition would be helpful. I played the long tees and yellow baskets, several of those didn’t have the next tee direction indicators so I had to hunt a while to figure out where to go. But well worth is, Athens is a monster challenging course!
@gstewart
Great mixture of open and wooded shots. Good views and right off the interstate. Absolutely worth the stop if you're passing through.
@bucee1
Fun course, it seems like the holes may need to be reevaluated for what the par is. Wooded holes are super technical, to the point where it’s luck and not skill.
@cspeidel331
Fantastic for a road trip stop. Overall solid, great views
@ddowningwiz
Fantastic shop making course, really fun to play, but the walk between baskets is far too long, and they need to put more arrows on the basket showing which way to go next. Also, the pars are silly at first, should be par three is not par four
@tylerzmoore
Really well maintained course with lots of shot variety. Lots of open bomber shots as well as tight technical holes. Lots of uphill climbing. Signage and wayfinding are great. Views ,especially on the upper holes, are spectacular.
@tfuhrmann
Yellow baskets and long tees… more than a challenge. Good mix of woods and long throws
@heyfire
Park cleaned up and looks great. Thank you parks and rec
@mcspider42
It’s got fairly good design. Needs some maintenance on the wooded holes for them to be top notch. Need to limb up some fairways and gaps. Bring a water disc for hole 6
@cofo71
Some tee signs are too close to the front edge of the teepad, right at hand height, but one of the best courses in the SE
@chadf32
Very fun and challenging course. Was definitely worth the detour driving home to play!
@whitlockpotato
If you want to become a better player, this course has everything (though the short layouts have oddly soft pars). Excellent mix of open, technical woods, water carries, and elevation puzzles. The different layouts offer remarkably different variations to work with every skill level, or create different experiences each time you play. 7-10 is rough but so rewarding once you find the lines. Fantastic course to work on becoming a better player.
@brittenhutch123
Great course, beautiful views, tee pads could use some updates
@jaketheczar
Excellent course. Some easy and challenging holes. Lots of variety of shots in the open and in the woods. Great views of the Tennessee hills. Just be careful of the holes in woods being slippery.
