I really wanted to play the pro layout, but that just looks too daunting and too long and I’m just not good enough to score on that layout. With that said even if it wasn’t on the DGPT and it didn’t have a pro level layout, this is an amazing course with some spectacular throws and views. I don’t know if I’ll be back in the area, but if I am, it would be a tough decision between this and black hoof if I only had time for one round. But if that was the case, I would throw Bad Rock Creek again. My group was a little bit worried about the course being so “open” but after throwing it, I wouldn’t really call it an open course as they use the woods very well weaving in and out.

Great course, absolutely loved it. Fun shots but wayfinding was very difficult. Using UDisc was confusing. Need signs pointing to next tee pad.

Beautiful park. Great course. Multiple tee-pads & baskets make for a large variety of shots. Water comes into play on a few holes. Solid use of elevation. Challenging for all skill levels. Worth a visit if you’re looking for something new to play!

This course impressed me for sure. Reminded me a lot of blue lake in OR but better! Long!

The Gold Course was wildly beautiful and very difficult. Great variety of hole shapes and distances. Catered for the elite players. This course is a big hike - playing single it took 3.5 hrs at 3 miles.

This is a great course, especially when tourney prepped. Issues are too many poke and hope woods fairways that reduce rather than enhance skill advantage. Also, strong RHBH pref lines. It gets 5 stars despite this because its a free course and pay courses have a huge maintenance advantage. This is a fantastic course in terms of elevation, shot variety, tee pads, and views.

Great layout and one of KC’s premier courses. Multiple tees and baskets on each hole give you four different options each time out. Trees, water, elevation; it has it all.
