UDisc currently takes you to the opposite side of the course from hole 1. Hole 1 starts behind the building at 11325 N Community House Rd. There is parking along Lower Ave and you can walk along the sidewalk behind the building south from Lower Ave. Very fun new course unlike any other in the area. Very open and rolling hills, a nice break from playing in the woods. The course is still being developed but all baskets are in concrete and tee pads are staked. With tee pads, better signage, and some OB it will definitely be even better.
@justslingit20
The course has tons of potential. Needs some signage to find next tee. Need to move teepads away from baskets and adjust for playing purposes. Could be a Charlotte staple with some tweaks to improve flow and design. Also don’t trust where it takes you on Google maps.
@mefelson
I give this course 5 big boooooms! boom Boom BOom BOOm BOOOOOM!!! Some tee areas have weird run ups, but overall super fun park course. Some longer shots as well for a par 3 course! 1 weird transition, but other than that awesome course! Great baskets, no signs yet, bathroom, and even a water fountain!
@reilly
Since the course is still being installed there are certainly some improvements that could be made to tee areas, signage and flow. That said, this is an open course on an exceptionally pretty property and a fun contrast to most of the courses in the Charlotte area. So cool to see a disc golf course out here. Watch for pedestrians and have some fun!
@connerbyrd
Pros: - Exactly the type of course Charlotte was desperately begging for - Some really iconic shots, holes 4, 6, and 17 all stick out to me as 5 star holes - All you could ask for with park amenities, bathrooms and water fountain between hole 10 and 11, paved sidewalks between some holes, beautiful scenery Cons: - About 2/3rds of the holes utilize the property nicely but the rest is open filler - I feel like there was enough room to squeeze in a par 4 or two - Tee areas need an upgrade, some tees are on slopes, a couple others are close to baskets
@beerdedginger
Really happy they finally installed a permanent course here! Course is very open and quite a fun change-up from all the wooded courses in CLT. Once signage is installed and it cools down a bit, this will be a regular course in my rotation! I definitely think adding OB would make it more challenging, but as it stands all the holes are birdie-able if you have 350-400ft in the bag.
@nbusk24
Practice Basket: Not currently Parking Situation: Parking spaces in front of office or parking garage Number of Holes: 18 Difficulty Level: Beginner+ (not particularly difficult to get par just requires some power and accuracy off tee to get a birdie putt) Cart friendly: Yes, the grass can be long in some areas Water Dangers: Yes, a pond/creek runs through the course, nothing you’ll lose a disc in Other Dangers: Other park goers Bathrooms/Water Fountains: Yes to both, a small building between Hole 11 & 17 tee box Tee areas: Grass / Cart path atm Benches: No Trashcans: A few spread out Signage/Wayfinding: No signs but wayfinding is decent, definitely use UDisc to figure out the way Overall Rating: 4/5 Rating Reason: It’s a brand new course but can see it being one of the highest rated in the area after installation is completed. Has some decent bomber holes, some fun elevation changes, a few interesting/tricky greens, as well as some decent views. Improvements: Besides finishing installation (tees, tee signs, benches, and signs) I think adding some OB or a mando would improve it and make for some interesting shots Other Notes: You’re in the sun for 95% of the round, bring lots of water and a umbrella. Also the address takes you to office buildings, use UDisc to park close to Hole 1 or Hole 18
@jmeehan631
Worth playing. Tee areas are a bit weird (on up slopes a lot of times). Plenty of fun shots, beautiful views, watch out for pedestrians
@taylor1354
Excellent design, very different from typical wooded courses in the area. Makes great use of hills and other natural features to create fun shots.
@sphnix
Just need some pads and a cut through from 10 to 11 and this will be ready to host some tournaments.
@trevordollar
Tee pad to greens could be spaced a touch more.. also maybe the tee for 14 should be moved to avoid being hit from 13 fairway . Other than that it plays great and is a nice par 3 course very pretty greens/ fairways and elevation changes and hills offer a fun challenging round and change of pace from the woods. Awesome new course with lots of potential!!
@discgolfcraig
Best short course in Charlotte (sorry Elon). Fun layout with rolling hills. I’m giving it less than a week before businesses complain about the ‘disc golfers’ hurting the image of the area.
@eacordes
Will be GREAT once the signage and potential pads are put in - had a blast!
@k1ngke1th
All open shots, bring your distance driver for a few of the uphill bombers. There is a lot of backtracking and uneven tee areas.
@musicman1968
This will be a great course once directions are available. Be aware that with it being sooo hot this is very difficult. Lots of elevations. Take time to stop by the water fountain.
@johnhess
Great new course that is unlike any other in Charlotte. Gorgeous property and fun shots. All par 3 but has some bomber holes that will test your power alongside your accuracy. -0.5 stars because tee pads are just natural grass currently and some are a bit too close to the previous basket
