Now that Astro-turf Teepads have been installed,it is now a legitimate 18 hole Carolina Woods Disc Golf course.

Add tee pads, new baskets, deep clean fairways and rough, and redesign hole 16. The. This course could be a solid 4 star short fun course.

Seems like a real new course. Parts have been bush hogged and there's been no trail building. Swampy and places with rain 2 days ago. Some views of the South Fork of the Catawba river. Good signage considering the course and seems like a local group is trying to clean it up.

Only could play 7 holes, tons of mosquitos got eaten alive. Course has lots of trees and debris down still from the storm and some of the starting blocks were hard to figure out.

Definitely a course that they just stuck in the woods just to do so. Hole lines were very inconsistent (hole 17 was just stupid), the fairways were very unforgiving if you ventured off of them, and half the baskets were either bent, rusted, or both. This couse is in dire need of coursework. Plus playing in the summer was nasty with the endless swarms of bugs. Definitely not worth traveling out of your way for.

I've played this course more than any. maintenance is not concerned with the course at all. the park put up flag football fields on hole four, so if you pick a bad time you cant throw it. Most of the signs were ripped up by kids and thrown into the river, actually witnessed it on hole 6. The tee pads are either dirt or mud. The ceilings are getting worse with branching every year. The baskets are leaning from ground crews hitting them with mowers. The sides of fairways are completely unplayable from overgrowth. Massive dead trees leaning everywhere or ready to fall. Hole 17 is a swamp all year with a mound mud tee pad that's one step. If you want to get better at shot shaping and technical throws than play here cause you have no choice but to throw the perfect shot every hole to have a birdie chance. If it's not exactly the right throw, you're gonna catch a tree, a branch, a vine, a single briar, or a skip into complete chaos of hell growth.

Follow the app, it is your friend. Great course when it’s not over grown

Rough is crazy on wooded holes. Baskets are older and some have damage. Tee "areas" are dirt/sand and not well marked. Signage proportions are off, making them a bit misleading. Despite all that, didn't have a terrible time. Shot +1 with a bad chain out on a single chain, and a nub out on a cockeyed bent cage.

The tee signs were non-existent on a few holes. There are no trash cans on the course so there was trash on the baskets. Grass is really overgrown in a lot of areas.

Some fun short holes for ace runs. Decent hole design/variety. Could use real tee pads but the natural ones are decently flat. Some tee signs are missing so had to use map to find tee pads. Some baskets need replacing too. Almost aced hole 1 so I’ll give it the 4/5 :)

Course needs a lot of help from damaged baskets, transition signs, tee pad area/leveling

Good, short course that has a range of open to heavily wooded fairways. Fairways feature straight shots, doglegs, mando’s, and plenty of trees to throw around. The course lacks tee pads and a few holes are missing signage.

Tight hallways, hitting shots is important to keep from losing discs, but good course, fun course.

This course has definitely gotten a little TLC since my first trip here. It could still use a little love, but honestly it’s a nice course if you’re looking for a challenging but not intimidating 18 hole round.

2nd time going here, and this course needs A-LOT AND I MEAN A-LOT OF WORK! No tee boxes whatsoever just rotten logs on/in the ground, the signage is horrible my group of 3 got lost so much it was unreal. We walked down the fairway of hole 16 to find the tee box cause it's so bad. The overgrowth and down trees is ridiculous. No benches to sit and take a break. The baskets look good on some and others look like they're from the 1970's. Honestly you can skip this course. Update: 3rd AND LAST TIMING PLAYING it is CRYSTAL clear the maintenance team at the park do not care or have been instructed to ignore the course. Just bulldoze it down and start over or better yet, just tear it down and eliminate it from existence. I had spoke to the guy over the park and rec and told him the issues he knew of it and was eager to fix the issues, but when I tried to setup a in person meeting with him (I forgot his name) I got ghosted. I will never play this course again. You couldn't pay me. Please do yourself a favor and just avoid this course. I hate saying all this, because it's closer to my house, but I'd rather drive to Charlotte and play those courses cause at least they're maintained and somewhat clean.

The course has a great design, but has some drainage issues that need to be addressed. It also suffers from bad maintenance. If it is cleaned up it is a 4 star course!
