Unbeatable views and incredible experience to full-send off several high tees. Course is not very technical, but it offers a very diverse experience from typical woods golf.

Fun course but tee boxes are not the most ideal throwing surface, no water or restrooms in sight except at the bottom, and the shots can be monotonous. Otherwise great hike to the top and amazing views!

Fantastic course. Longer tee boxes would be a request

Beautiful views and fun time with the terrain. Teepads are a little sketchy with the gravel but the layout is clear and it's pretty intuitive where you're heading next once you get to hole 1. Probably not the most consistently accessible course for locals I would imagine but if you're in the area, definitely check it out

Played the lower nine. Pros: Beautiful views, fun shots with big elevation changes, not crowded with only a couple others on the course, very favorable par. Cons: Have to pay $50 for ski lift ride or hike to the top (I hiked), very rough on discs given it follows a very rocky road, tee pads are awful. Overall it was a great day. No cons could offset the views and fun shots.

Big Tee Shots. Try to stay in the fairway.

If you’re visiting for the first time, remember to wear good shoes for hiking, bring plenty of water, and buy the lift ticket! 😉

The course is split up between the front nine holes and the back nine with the front nine being on Lone Peak and the back nine being on Andesite. My only issue with the course is the teepads, half of which are just dug out gravel and the other half are cheap rubber mats which makes for slipping and potential rolled ankles. The terrain is extremely rocky so come prepared with hiking boots. The course is fun. The back nine are mostly wooded with several straight shots, none of which are very long, while the front nine are the best in my opinion. The front nine have some big bomber holes where you throw down the mountain. I broke my previous distance record of 450ft with a 685ft bomb on hole 2 (almost 200ft passed the basket). It was so fun I played through twice. Definitely worth the money. The views are spectacular from atop the mountains. 4 stars because the teepads need to be upgraded.

Dirt Tee pads are sketchy. The baskets need a serious upgrade for being a course up at Big Sky, and there are no clear paths from one hole to another(wear good shoes). There should also be a separate lift ticket option for just frolf, however if you have time it's pretty fun to ride laps on the lifts with the scenic lift ticket. Also I did have to map the back 9 when I went, and I'm unsure if my version will be made public. But, the views! fun mid-range course!

Nice downhill course. Don’t go in the rough to the right.

The "Main" layout is not available to play this summer because of construction, you can play a 9 hole loop off the top of RamCharger and a 9 hole that plays down from the top of Explorer with the purchase of one ticket. Its pretty pricey but if you're in town and you have discs its a good way to see the sights of the valley while having a good time. The RamCharger loop has a couple interesting holes through the woods. Every hole off Explorer is an open downhill shot ranging from 200-500 ft.

It’s pretty good. Kinda open on most but has some good spots with trees. No permanent baskets. 18 is hard to find. It’s past the sign telling of the trails. Kinda tucked away.

The front 9 is off the Explorer lift, and it’s 9 shots down the mountain in a 200ft wide fairway with nothing to hit. If you leave the fairway good luck finding your disc. Holes range from 250-500 feet. The back 9 is nothing like it, just a short course on top of the mountain. Three long 300-350 shots and six 200-260 putter shots mostly in the woods. The pads are crap but fine for standstill. Don’t make a special trip to play but bring some discs if you’re here already.

Don’t get me wrong, I like this course for what it is. But the tee pads aren’t amazing, the baskets are usable but not ideal. I also thought the pads were a little off for being a beginner course. But still awesome views and fun to play!

I played the course so I could throw long bombs down a mountain. There was no place to do that. The tee pads are more of a hazard than a feature. Rocky terrain not great for non-rented discs. 18 holes split between two ski lifts makes it a hassle to play the whole thing. As does the $31 lift ticket needed to access each half of the course. It was unique, but I’d never recommend it to someone else expecting a decent round.

forecasterjack

@forecasterjack

Front 9 off Explorer easy to follow, big open downhill shots are tons of fun. Hole 10 is slightly to the left off Ramcharger. The course plays clockwise around a loop at the top of that lift and is easy to follow once you find the first hole. Footing is rough and teepads are haphazardly placed rubber matting so be careful with your runup. Otherwise nice holes and spectacular scenery
