Simply the best in the Dane County area.
@cs9320
Excellent winter course. Not beginner friendly. Great mix of open/wooded/mixed/hilly land. Much more modern (and best) design compared to the rest of the Madison area courses. Features some memorable shots, like hole 1 alt pin on the island, the downhill wooded shot with water behind and podium basket, the tree farm tunnel just to name a few. Obviously the rough is rough here, but in the summer with controlled shots, the fairway is wide enough to play safe if you don't want to lose discs. And if you're lucky, Chance the disc finding dog may come by and find your disc for you!

@billthecrusher
Excellent but the tall grass will punish bad shots. Mix of wooded shots and more open shots with tall grass along both sides. Nice concrete tees, signs & baskets. Most holes have long & shorts tees and some have multiple tee positioms (1 basket per hole). Winter round was fun, summer may result in lost discs.

@c2j284
Such a great course, I don’t know how you would ever play the long holes without losing discs. The Prairie is very thick.

@kevinpdonahoe
Really enjoyed this course! Prairie fairways are fair and beginners will find the rough very unforgiving. Be prepared to lose a disc or two. Holes in the woods were great and loved #28 over the lake! Worth the drive out into the country and the $5 fee!

@someone
Great course when everything is dead... (Tall grass, mosquitos, ticks, and leaves)

@jakeq19
Difficult to play solo given high potential to lose discs and half the holes are blind from the tee.

@dgsupernova
Horrible upkeep, bugs are horrible. A well mowed course isn't always a well maintained course. Embarrassing.

@lowr3y
Best course in dane county!

@quentenfisher
Such. A. Cool. Course. Definitely have a spotter. Many different layouts and unique holes. Neat course around!
@frankingston
Spotters are a must if you’re going from the long tees. The tall grass is still very manageable on May 20th, but is coming in quick. We were going at a good pace and the round took 4+ hours.

@jmdittrich
DIFFICULT COURSE FOR AMATEURS IN SUMMER.. Tight fairways and disc eating high grass rough. Layout is confusing without U disc maps. In fall/winter, much better to play when grass and leaves are down. Fun course for that season. Nice tee pads.

@rochill888
Local gem that is well maintained with long and short tee pads. The local club does a great job with keeping the course looking nice year-round. Birds will show its teeth when in full bloom with some unforgiving rough.
@independentdg
Best course in Dane County. Not for whiners or cry babies. Love that!

@odtowers
This is my favorite course! Perfect mixture of wild and manicured terrain. Gorgeous property! A great course that rewards good shots and punishes bad ones.

@clinton
This course is wild and thick in the rough. Beware that discs landing off the fairway need a spotter to find. Lots of work being done. This park needs a lot of constant attention. Can be beginner friendly if you play it safe and expect a 4 hour round playing full 27.
