Blanche Brook Disc Golf Course is a scenic 9-hole layout nestled in the heart of Stephenville’s Blanche Brook Park. Designed for all skill levels, the course features three sets of tees—red (beginner), white (intermediate), and blue (long)—offering flexible options whether you’re brand new or a seasoned player.
Set along the Blanche Brook walking trail, the course blends open fairways and lightly wooded lines for a relaxing, rewarding round. It’s a peaceful space to enjoy disc golf, surrounded by the natural beauty of western Newfoundland.
As of June 2025, the layout begins at the playground end of the park, near the public washroom and parking area. This location was chosen for improved safety, accessibility, and visibility—it's the most active and well-monitored area of the park. A port-o-potty is available here during the playing season, and parking is free.
Because the course is located in a shared public park, disc golfers are reminded to play with care and respect. Blanche Brook is popular with walkers, dog owners, families, and casual parkgoers. Always yield to pedestrians and wait until fairways are clear before throwing. Clear communication, patience, and respect for other park users are essential for keeping the course a safe and welcoming place for everyone.
While relatively flat, the course layout takes advantage of the brookside terrain, trees, and park features to offer a balanced mix of challenge and fun. Hole lengths vary, and shot selection matters—especially from the longer tees. It’s a great spot to work on your game or introduce someone new to the sport.
Blanche Brook is free to play and open to the public year-round. For those without discs, a limited number are available to borrow from the Town of Stephenville Recreation and Wellness Division.
The Bay St. George Disc Golf Association (BSGDGA) manages the course and runs free learn-to-play events, helping introduce more people to the sport and grow the local disc golf community.
Whether you’re looking for a casual solo round, a fun group activity, or a chance to build your skills, Blanche Brook offers an accessible and rewarding experience in one of Stephenville’s most beautiful green spaces.
