It's epic and it's FREE. Great courses are always a physical and mental battle, and the Beast does not disappoint. Forces you to play uncomfortable shots and work uncomfortable angles. Woods punishes bad throws. Water and OB in the park part does the same. Fantastic and humbling, but not so long that you need a bomber arm to play it.
@powerputtatx
Holes 5,6,15 and 16 are currently unplayable due to water. Work trucks were parked in the middle of the fairway on every hole on the front 9.
@lucasrogers
It's different than it looks on YouTube but that might be better
@gloper13
With a mixture of wooded and open holes, this classic course features well used tee pads of moderate lengths - many of which lack signage. Udisc is a necessity. The course is more approachable than most pro tournament courses allowing average players birdie opportunities while at the same time requiring accuracy on tightly wooded holes where failure can result in high scores. Water does come into play on several holes which can be exacerbated when the wind picks up. Well worth playing.

This course is so underrated. Loved it. Played 3 of top 5 in Texas and this is by far the best
@plstcwstlnd
This place met all my expectations and is easily in my top 5 courses! Out of 207 💪 it's not as intimidating as it looks on YouTube 😂
@discrabbit
Top 50 course out of 1100 played (so far)
@strebs
4.3 stars. Long park style front 9 then tough wooded, long, technical back 9. Views along the river are awesome
@lordtamale
Superdopecirclehotspot....let em fly here son open then techy af! I really enjoyed hucking my frizzles out here
@timrbass
Wooded back 9 can get frustrating with thick rough, nice open back 9. Par 5s are exciting at every turn. Hole 5 super cool peninsula green and hole 6 awesome shot over water.
@tomasjeronimo
Very nice course. Great mixture of par 4’s and woods with a bit of water hazard mixed in. If you’re in the area, definitely come play it.
@alanjanzen
Hopefully hole 16 is updated to a playable hole in the future. Rest of the course is 5 stars.
@kitchenchains
Well manicured and scenic course on the river. Open front 9, with challenging water hazards on holes 5 and 6. Technical and heavily wooded back 9. Decent shot variety and options for backhand and forehand players on most holes.
@xanerwin
Starting on course hole 1 (DGPT 13), the front 9 is quite open with a few demanding holes that navigate around the tributaries of the Brazos. The back 9 (DGPT 4) is starkly different from the front, with extremely technical lines, short holes and memorable shots. I don’t think I’ve played a course with such different styles from front to back.
@blazek
Beautiful! Lots of variations of open and super tight wooded shots.
@danger24
Course is in good condition. Recently mowed, not much poison Ivy
