This course is an absolute GEM!! The warmup area, complete with 2 baskets on the practice green, a throwing net, and a driving range, is absolute top notch. On the course the views are incredible, the course is tough but fair, and the variety between short and long is amazing. I think a couple holes need a small amount of trees taken out to open up the lines a bit, but that's my only complaint.

I come to Marquette every year and play Powder Mill and a few others. This is my first time playing Buchanan and it was a blast!
@olorin
Fantastic rock formations! This is a very enjoyable woods course with nice elevation changes. Olorin rating = 9.2/10
@theriddler1
Absolutely amazing course. Tee areas are top notch, the holes are beautiful, and the shots are very fun. A couple holes on the back 9s pars need to be updated, as some 3s should simply be a 4 and aren’t reachable off the tea. Best course in the area by far and one of top in Michigan.
@dominicg
Fantastic disc golf course. Nice practice basket and warm up area. The tee boxes were AstroTurf and worked very well and the areas around the tees were clean. The red to red layout is very easy and beginner friendly, the red tee to blue basket adds some nice challenge with some cool looks and the blue to blue is just awesome. There are very fair fairways (although tight in spots, but still multiple lines available) with a decently wide area cleaned out to each side of the fairway before the rough starts. Not too many negatives. There are a few long walks between holes but they feel like an enjoyable hike in the woods. Navigation can be difficult so pay attention to Udisc. Shot selection could vary a little more. Hole distance is a little short overall. The parking area could use some work and that's about it. All in all one of the better disc golf courses you can play.
@stock853
Great course with awesome ribbon markers for way finding.
@mwjcg01
I love discing up here. The natural beauty lends itself to an enjoyable day no matter how you are playing.
@prestidigit8tor
Very nice technical woods course. Lots difficult shots. Multiple teepads and pins on each hole offer good variety. Can be a bit tough to navigate in a few spots with some very long walks between a few holes.
@robmarley420
2 baskets 2 tee pads lots if trees good elevation change. Awesome course!!!
@brianphillips
Hole for hole course is amazing, however as a whole some of the flow here is off.. walking backwards to pads or some pins are placed way paced the next path to the tee so you are walking backwards again. Several holes are very pretty. Short to short are mostly all ace runs. Several witg just putters.. Bigges issue for me were the tee pads, they are not very level and are wavey.. so watch how you tee off.
@jedidavid
Really great course! Very well designed and fun. Minor complaints would be the walks between some holes are long and a few of the woods holes don’t really have fairways. Overall fantastic though!
@bhdata22
Beautiful wooded coirse, nearly world class. only thing stopping is the amount of trash littering the course. Came out with a full backpack of it, and there was loads more on either side of the fairway. Local golfers, please make an effort to do the same! Otherwise, it was truly magnificent. final note whole 14 blues to blues was not correct in UDisc.
@wsecord
This course is excellent. We had a blast on red to red. A lot of ace opportunities. Found a rope swing on hole 5 and jumped in the river. Artificial turf grass on t pads were nice. Be aware - you have to walk down a road that has fast driving semis hauling rock. So be aware. No bathrooms. We loved the driving range. What a great course. Wish I didn’t live 6 hrs away
@martinabeshaus
Really liked this course. I foresee it being a top course in the state one of ages a bit
@cayanathan
Long to Long is not very fair yet, would love to try another layout
@schneemobile
Course just opened, but it doesn't seem like that from the look of the course. Lots of different shot variety make this a great course to check out and play. Two baskets and two pads make this course extremely flexible and could spend days playing different layouts. Only downside is no bathrooms and no drinking water on the course.
@watchitbend
4 different layouts. Every hole has two tees and two pins, and amazing tee signs. The property has water, elevation, rock outcroppings, is mostly wooded, and exclusive use of the property for disc golf...about all its missing is some open bomber holes like off a hillside, and maybe a really crazy long par 5...(well, let's just see if we can raise some funds to install a few gold baskets to make it even longer and harder)!!! As we evaluate scoring of the various layouts thru 2024, we plan to make further adjustments to the course through tree removal. We just didn't want to start off making it too easy! It has no real amenities like a pavilion with bathroom or water...but it has a warmup tee to get your arm warm by throwing into a net, plus a driving range field for accuracy in increments of 50' up to 350', two practice baskets, and an awesome welcome board. You can play 9 holes by either playing #1-3, then walking across the road behind #3 blue pin to #12 blue pin and proceeding to play #13-18. Or you can also play #1-4, then cross the road and walk left (south), and play #12-16 and end by the driving range.
@stevek365
Red to reds is kinda short, blue to blue is kinda long and tough, but choose your own adventure and enjoy your day.
