Tees are marked by spray painted lines on the cart ways so you have concrete pads or orange flag markers. Over all the course is a great starter course for those that want to learn how to play. Nice to have a course in the Oxnard area.

After playing as many courses as I can in Ventura County, it’s nice to have one in an area that doesn’t get super hot. Paying $12 a person is a bit steep when everywhere else is free (minus Casitas). Pros: - Nice flat walking course - Easy to find discs and easy to find baskets - Nice weather/breeze to add some difficulty - All tee pads are on cement golf cart path - Can rent golf carts if preferred Cons: - Very few technical shots - Noise pollution of being next to main streets - Pay to play Overall Takeaway: Course was pretty good, definitely a lefty-backhand or righty-forehand course. Would definitely benefit from some mandos and OB rules. Hopefully they setup some kind of monthly fee rather than making each person pay individually. Maybe even group pricing. Good for beginners or someone who wants to play an easier course. Need more people to try it out for them to decide how the course will continue on.
@chico23
They can add hazards and mandatory to make it more technical. But a good course overall.
@elmunchy
Overall solid course, decent variation of distance, shot type is somewhat limited due to using cart paths as tee pads and keeping baskets out of ball golf fairways, but still enough variety to be plenty enjoyable.

Competing with ball golfers makes the whole feel congested. No one wants to dodge balls or rush play and pay for it. $12 a play is comical. I work on this base and play frequently but refuse to play based on the horrendous price for the quality of the course. The layout is fine and there’s some short, long, and technical holes. All flat though. My only protest is the egregious price which was clearly defined by someone who has no knowledge of the sport. Shame.
@ktwoolgar
Sweet. Finally a local corse. No weeds. Baskets nicely placed and easy to identify from pads. The golfers on the corse and management are all curious about this new sport. All were welcoming. Note. You will need tee time and $12 to play. Management is considering a monthly or yearly membership to help reduce price for daily/weekly players. I look forward to that.

As an Oxnard local who has played Lake Casitas nearly every weekend for the last 2 years along with Rabbit Flats and Sapwi. I give this course 3.5 stars. • Oxnard’s first 18 hole course. No longer have to drive 30+ minutes to Ojai or Thousand Oaks to get a round in. • Its grassy and easy to find discs, (refreshing to play a round without having trudge through thistle or poison oak) • There’s a pro shop and restaurant. You must check in at the pro shop to pay the $12 round fee. Here You can rent a 2 man golf cart for $12, they also sell food and beer. • There is no practice basket The course feels beginner -intermediate. Featuring the Discmania “lite”baskets. On the holes you can see nearly every basket from the tee pad. It’s very flat and has a degree of shot variety, requiring you to avoid trees with forehands and backhands.

Great course, fun. They could finish painting the tee boxes with just one person paying to play. Expensive.
@spencerh04
Great course one of the only local ones in Ventura with grass. Very fun layout that can definitely be challenging when played from the longs
@connorliverpool
Best course I’ve ever played! Thanks JW and TH for making this!
@bjornshoots
Favours a lefty. Similar throws throughout. Cool it’s on a military base.
@baskethead
Best course in the Oxnard/Ventura area for 100 miles. Dynamic holes throughout with two absolute monster par 4s on front and back 9. Definitely worth a play if you’re looking for a unique course on the buzzin fairways.
@jwnuts
A nice course in the Ventura area where you aren’t losing a disc every other hole or hiking through brush. Fun course and good shot variation.
