It’s a nice site with potential but needs some love…the course has a wild/neglected feel. Lots of dead and fallen trees and branches. Expect some clambering over rocks and logs. There were a few inaccuracies. Hole 2 on UDisc was over 600 feet but the actual basket was half that. Tee locations were a little off too, but they were easy to find because they are covered with blue fabric which stands out from the forest floor. No tee pad on 1, no signage on the course. You can use the orange reflectors on the trees for wayfinding on the front 9. 4th basket was missing a few chains. The first five holes work your way up a mountain. Hole 6 at the top was my favorite hole, with a cool tee area and danger of going off the hill on the left of the fairway. Hole 8 was fun, throwing down the hill, but a slightly dangerous walk down rocks to the basket if you are not sure footed. Hole 7 was absurdly long with trees and no view of the basket until my 4th throw. For 7 I just followed the reflectors since I couldn’t see the basket and eventually got there. Only played the first 9 since I ran out of time. Amenities are good since it’s at a state park and golf course. *Update after playing back 9* no teepads or wayfinding reflectors on the trees for the back 9. Most baskets are super long and not visible from the tee so you have to rely on UDisc to know which direction to throw. No trails between the ‘tee’ spot and the basket so you are literally walking through branches and fallen trees like in nature. Hole 16 you have to throw off a steep embankment with no trail down so be careful going down it. The only hole I liked on the back 9 was #12 which was a long bomber throw along the back of the dam and into a wooded area but the basket was not visible until my 4th throw on that one, way up on the hill on the other side of the ravine. Back 9 is EXTREME BUSHWHACKING DISC GOLF! Long holes, No clear lines! Wear boots! Protect yourself from ticks and Step carefully!
@quinstrite
Not all the holes have teepads, but was able to find all the baskets. No signage so had to depend solely on Udisc map.
@jthompson29
Quit after hole 2. The hunt for holes and baskets, could not compare to the hunt for your disc in the wild overgrown wilderness of West Virginia.
@iant811
I saw all the bad reviews and thought, how bad could it be? Very very bad…. DO NOT PLAY HERE IT IS A WASTE OF YOUR TIME
@eamonf
Course is unplayable but has potential. Too many downed trees, and no fairways, and no signage, and too often can’t see the pin. Answers the question “ If you put a basket in a forest is it a disc golf course?” with a resounding “NO.” Please please give this course the work it deserves!
@brnwlsn
Trail unfinished hard to navigate at all. A lot of potential here, it’s able to be finished I think but not without scouting or walking entire course first to understand layout.
@jackalope79
Disc golf is fun......until you play here. I have never left a bad review for any course. Ever. But i was compelled by this course. Just a miserable DG experience. No signage, fairways are nonexistent, no maintenance, pars on holes need adjustment. Just neglected. I will say, with a bit of work and cutting, could be a good course. As is, not worth anyone's time. Go elsewhere.
@remlabivel
No upkeep. No noticeable fairway. Just miserable.
@mncleaver
The course is unplayable. There is maybe a hundred trees on the ground and in piles blocking the fairways. No signage at all so you can’t play it in order.. Go to Poorhouse it’s great.
@dcleaver99
There are so many down trees and piles of wood debris that make it no fun to play. Some baskets are ridiculously far from the Tee Pad. And no signage makes it very frustrating to play here. I was so hopefully for this course but no one seems to be interested in making it playable.
@eric7682
All baskets are in place but, the course is not ready for play. Played all 18 and the fairways where a mess. Looks like high winds up rooted a lot of trees and destroyed most of the fairways. Also, not all tee pads are in place and you have to use UDisc to find each whole. Should be great place to play once cleaned and fully completed.
@ihaveanoseynose
Uuuuhh, what? Looks like they started designing and making it but gave up super quick. No maps, not really fairways, tees that are neglected.
@dwiltsey
Front nine has all baskets and most of the tee pads installed but still needs fairway cleaning and signage. With that being said the front is definitely playable (and I recommend playing) but I wouldn’t venture much further. This is gonna be a must play course when complete. I can’t wait to return.
@agitner
Every aspect of this course is existence is absurd. The designer must have been told he could not do any fairway maintenance. First 9 holes are fun. After that, it’s just a fun hike with no guarantee of certainty
@gtrman2001
Baskets are all in. This course will be awesome when completed. Lots of variety and beautiful setting. So much potential! Looking forward to playing when it has been completed.
@bahldark
Almost complete. Pretty difficult. Looking forward to signs!
@stogie26
Great design, a lot of potential, needs a lot of work
@sethstaley
A long way from complete
@eds17001
Not for the faint of heart, only about 8 tees in, but all the baskets and not a lot of fairway.
@jwilkes
All baskets are up, most tee pad frames are up but not filled. More work needed, including marking holes and mapping, but this course should be great when it’s completed. 🥏
