This course has potential to be really awesome, but the navigation makes 9 holes last over an hour, and you likely won't be throwing in the direction of the basket unless you know your way around. They have so much ground here you gotta wonder why they designed it this way. Everything else is great. Good cement tee-pads. Well kept property. You're just throwing in random directions is all
@erickiml
Great course if you like to throw over roads, around blind corners, with campers wandering in and out of the fairway. For $10. Completed 5 holes and walked
@discrabbit
The front nine can be skipped but the back nine is worth playing
@partick
Fantastic views of the lake and mountains — challenging holes with well constructed cement tee pads. Back nine not for the faint of heart if you’re at all sensitive to poison oak.

The disc golf course isn’t great, it is the scenery that gets the high ratings - if you know that you know the course well enough. Don’t get me wrong the course wasn’t terrible within the context of something is better than nothing and a course forced into park grounds. But I saw high ratings on UDisc and pay to play and I thought I was going to get great views and great disc golf. I left with great views. Many holes go over rough gravel roads, some blind shots to start where you end in tough to find a disc brush if not perfect. Wayfinding was not obvious, playing over parking lots and roads, picnic benches in middle of holes, many blind baskets with non-distinct fairways. Hole 14 sums it up. Throw over an active rough road that will scuff up your disc, next to some dumpsters and finish 8 feet from a fence separating you from two large loud barking dogs. I loved going here but I can’t rate a disc golf course as “good” given the prevalence of the limitations (and more) mentioned above. The course is worth visiting (the views are that good), just know what you are getting into with the disc golf.

When the water level is lower, all of the teas are available for use, and it’s not quite so swampy, this will be a much better course. I just happen to come during a wet period and that made it drop by about one full star.
@mrbillbailey
Fantastic design and upkeep. (Slightly right hand backhand friendly. I’m not complaining.) thanks SB crew!
@rammar
Good scenery and some really fun holes, and some not so stellar holes. On busy days tourists get in the way.
@axelbaker
solid course, lots of different shots, great views, but some questionable holes that play over a parking lot. Open from October-April.
@mataoearth
Some of these could be amazing Par 4 with just a bit of tweaking. Good mix of long and short and left and right and open and technical
@gregor69
The most technical course in SB County, & my favorite in the county.
@aaronjkirby
A fine course through the oaks around a campground. Pretty technical, but not a ton of variety. Not sure how it’s rated 4.5 stars here. If you’re in this area Lake Casitas is a much more interesting and challenging course.
@wyattfiddy
Flooded pads, but the course itself is incredible and difficult.
@johnnypb
Water level high
@upgrayeed
A challenging course shrouded by oak trees. Baskets can be heavy guarded by trees and bushes so accuracy and strategy are a must.
@dcasillan
Great course, play it if it’s open. Technical course with specific line through the woods, few open shots, some terrain, and very different from Cachuma but complementary. Cart friendly.
@tcobb1
Always a good time
