@rickyr24
Nice but lots of tall grass and branches in certain areas
@midnitemud
Lots of hole variety. Well-maintained. Challenging and fun!
@james2025
It's a decent course for a small town. The front 9 is better than the back 9.
@jdshell
Front 9 is fun as it plays through the woods with some tight fairways. A couple holes play near walking paths so be aware of pedestrians. Tees and signage are in good shape. A few holes are a little soggy but playable.
@bbennett7761
If this course updated the tee boxes, signs, and a couple fairways I’d give it 5.
@scuba21789
Some tee pads need trimmed. We need a pin on 6 and some clean up near the pee pad as well. Great shot design maybe a couple limbs need trimmed. Makes you work smart
@mcherrington
It's a great park all in all, paved tee boxes with clear signs and even pictures to make it near impossible to lose the next basket. The only real issue is that between hole7 and 8 the area itself holds way too much water to even be playable.
@wyattmmcd
Good
@chiefrv
The first four holes are pretty much impossible to navigate without grounding the disc to a 90° turn. Hole 17 is absolute trash due to the overgrowth, stay to the left and cross the creek at hole 18’s Teebox.
@treeclimber92
1st nine holes are not for straight shooters. Must be able to work left and right. 2nd nine are more open. Careful of water throughout
@santanner92
Awesome course. Passing through town and had to play. Some very tight, curvy wooded areas. I would have loved to play this when the heat index wasn’t 110*.
@scooters
Go back to old 17 and tee pads.
@landshark63
There were 2 or 3 holes where it wasn’t clear which basket to use, even with UDisc. On a busy day, there were several holes that would be tough to not hit somebody
@pauliebethrowin
Hole 2 & 3 are terribly overgrown. Pretty fun besides that. It has some challenge to it, but overall a decent “park style” course.
@ryonhinkle
Love the new bridges, course is well maintained and a lot of fun
@davidgilliland
Not the 2nd oldest texas course. I started playing in 81. In 82 we had 3 courses put in texas. 2 more in Carrollton followed shortly after. I can think of at least 7 that are in front of Athens.
@evansdgtour
Signage is meh, but it’s there. The Cain center is generally open during the week and on Saturday, it has water fountains and bathrooms. Hole 7 seems to be perpetually flooded, good luck. Someone, has been cutting and pruning bushes which open up lines on many of the wooded holes. 2/14/2023
