Caliber is one of those special treasures we have been gifted as disc golfers. Paul has carved out a course that is truly world class and has done so on a property that most would not dare take on the challenge of cutting out a disc golf course on. Everything at Caliber is done with purpose and detail from the hand painted tee signs to the removal of specific trees and labeling of others. The design is impeccable and the variety of layout options makes for 2 very different levels of challenge. My only piece of advice when playing caliber would be to play in a group and utilize spotters. I played alone twice on caliber and once on motherlode and probably spent 3 hours looking for discs, most of which were in or barely off the fairway. This is due to thick vegetation that makes finding discs tough. I wouldn’t call the course overgrown but there is enough greenery to justify using a spotter whenever possible. Definitely the best course in Idaho and it makes a strong argument for being one of the best in the world. I wouldn’t fault anyone for putting it in their top 10 or even top 5 as it really does check all the boxes. Can’t wait to come back in 10 years to see how Motherlode beats in over time!

I’ve played maple hill, Brewster ridge, idlewild etc. this course I right there with those. Every hole is so beautiful and there is another course even longer that just got put in on the same property which sounds just as good. Everything from design, INSANE VIEWS, to overall upkeep and fun factor is there. Owner is super nice as well. Hope they can get a Pro Tour here soon.
@diggertb
The primary course is really fleshed out in layout, manicure, signs and warrants its high rating. The tee pads are a little small but it's not enough to detract from this course, except maybe keeping it from hosting higher-rated tournaments. The second course has large concrete tree pads and is a destination course once it gets finished.

This course is disgusting. Filthy. It will test your will, even from the "amateur" tees. I watched my teenage son go from the top of the world (3 birdies in the first 6) to the depths of despair (wind picked up and the bogies piled up). I ended the round by chatting with the owner/designer/certified sicko Paul, who is there to personally ask you how you liked the course. Total class all the way.
@tglass
Top notch course deserving of its top 10 rank!
@smashhulk
Need bug spray the mosquitoes were rushing my throws but a great course to be #5 in the world!!
@martindewgarita
Great fun!
@linkken58
Incredible, and tough, course! Stay in the fairway and you can score. Placement is key off the tee.
@dfrank231
Amazing property, friendly owner, variety of shots and top level signage. I have only given a few 5 stars, this course earned it. Go out of your way to throw here.
@cougar
Amazing course with numerous different types of shots! Well groomed fairways with beautiful scenery! Truly one of the best courses in the world and a lot of time and effort was put into it
@mcfrunkis
Outstanding course. Be prepared to hike. The baskets to the next teepads are short and perfectly marked, just the elevation changes on each hole will get to you. The downhill shots make you feel like you can get some distance, however the uphill shots will punish you if you don’t throw straight. Can’t wait to come back and play Mother Lode. Great course and great hospitality. Everything you would expect from a top tier course.
@msheddan
Paul has built an almost perfect course. Has everything. I don't give 5 stars - but I will here bcuz it deserved it. A MUST PLAY!!!
@jeffmagaway19
This course has great potential as a pay to play later on but it’s way far out from a city and they could use a store on site to sell discs and drinks and stuff. Make sure to bring bug spray cuz the mosquitos to mess around here. Liked the course but being far from a city to stay at and a pay to play I will prolly only come back to play if I have others that want to go or can squeeze it in while playing the other course.
@timservo
Quite possibly the best course in the Northwest, great hole designs and well manicured. I only wish that I lived closer!
@braddavis
Absolutely beautiful property with a well-designed course. The upkeep was great and easy to find my way around. My only complaint was that the tee boxes were too small. They have very nice and new turf pads, but they are too short for any kind of moving approach.
@blade17
Master piece, the vision and work that went into this course is inspiring
