Cartwright Fields is an enjoyable 9-hole course. The layout requires short but accurate shots. Grounds are maintained by city workers and volunteers. The course gets water-logged in the spring, however pathways are maintained for dry footing. The course is cart friendly and beginner friendly. There are bathrooms available during that day that are regularly cleaned and maintained which is huge bonus.

Still kind of wet in some spots, overall good course. Would play again

What a gem! You can really tell the volunteers who maintain this park really out their heart into it. A friendly course for beginners and a fun course for EVERYONE!
@laylaan
There were red ants on the tee pads, as another user mentioned. But there are hooks at the tee pad signage polls, which you can put your bag on so the ants don’t get on your bag. Great bonus! In some areas if you go into the bushes, it’s very thick and hard to find discs… Bring a disk retriever.
@asheehey22
Fire ants can be bad, lots of variety and different shot types nice short par 3s all way around with longest being under 300ft. Other than the fire ants on the tee pads and throughout I love it
@backsidetee
Played baskets to tee pads had a blast but can’t review the baskets cause I never used them lol
@smuchacz
Short course, damp in the trees, but a fun quick round.
@nboychuk
Short, beginner course through the woods. Well kept, lots of mosquitos.
@trevorharris
Bit muddy and swampy on a few holes but overall in good shape.
@myleslatter
Short course but nothing wrong with that. Great course for beginners and excellent putting course for intermediate players.
@flowinwithbrook
Narrow and slightly difficult
@sebster
Thank you to the volunteers that are maintaining this course. It would be nice if this course was better maintained. Bring your weed whacker and bug spray. Hole 1 and 2 is nice and open but all the other fairways are 10 feet wide with acres of 5 foot high thick thick weeds and grass. Lots of tall bull thistle. Lost my disc there on hole 3. I would recommend for experienced players only. NOT FOR BEGINNERS.
@dannybdg
Short and simple. Great for beginners. If you have a buzzz and a putter it’s really all you need
@ericdb
The trees are cool, the tall grass is not.
@nickcrandell
Overgrown, some holes are unplayable, bring bug spray
@hotone
Nice course with some technical holes. Best not to play alone as you really need a spotter on a few holes. 3, 4 and 6 come to mind.
@drewb70
Great little course, never busy. Fun optional holes 1 to 3, ect.. They keep widening the fairways. Less and less long grass everytime I go.
