About the course

Course Description 2025:
Cedar Grove is home to Crossover Disc Golf and has been a work in progress since 2020. The Terwilleger family have built a very challenging and technical course that will challenge you with tight lines and tough basket locations.
Please understand before coming to play, this is a course on about 7 acres. It's taken care of by one person. We aren't a park with unlimited resources. So please take that into account and understand this is a private/backyard course that we allow others to come out and play casually when we aren't running events.
The course features concrete pads and excellent signage and everything you’d want from a quality course. Cedar Grove has a pond that’s in play, and elevation change, as well as fairways/greens that have some slope to them.
We were in the process of switching baskets in 2025 as funds are available.
The course has a short (green), intermediate (purple) and long (blue) layout to play. Once you play you will understand why it is the most "Brutiful" course you've ever played.
Cedar Grove was ranked 3rd in Indiana out of 272 courses in 2023/2024. We are very honored and humbled at that ranking on UDisc. We appreciate all who take the time to play and rank the course. While we don't feel that we deserve the rating based on not being a championship level course, we do feel that the experience we offer is up there with the best. The course is the one of the most technical you will ever throw, and will challenge your fairway drivers, mids, and putter throws. You have to hit lines and scramble well, and is also one of the most unique around.
There is a gravel lot up by the garage area for parking. There is a kiosk and money box by hole 1 tee pad for donations. 100% of monies collected go back to the course. There is also a port-o-let at the end of the garage furthest from the house if needed. We ask for a $5 donation to play. You must get permission from Josh to gain access (please text 513-225-6022). We accept cash, PayPal ([email protected]) or Venmo (@JTtheTD) as well on the donations.
What can you expect? You will have fun with the uniqueness and creativity of the course. You will hit trees. You will be challenged with approach shots and the scramble part of your game. Whether you are right or left handed, you will be be presented with backhand and forehand shots to make you throw straight, as well as hyzer and anhyzer shots. You will probably laugh at a few shots, and maybe want to cry (not really) on a few others. There is OB on some holes, islands, hazards, and a few mandos. You will find hanging baskets and baskets in trees and different heights. The OB/Islands/Mandos are there to keep people reigned in due to the course being on a small amount of acreage.
Some might call the course gimmicky, regardless, there is nothing around like it, and the majority of the players think it is fun and can't wait to come back. The course is not a “bomber” course in any way. No one really needs any high speed drivers due to the lines given. It’s never going to be on the Pro Tour and wasn't designed to be a "championship" level course, but it will be a course you’ll want to play again. Pound for pound, it’s tough to beat this “short” course for what it offers. Cedar Grove has regulars that are 1000 rated, as well as novice players.
The 3 layouts are very different. They present different shots and lines. The GREEN is our shortest and easiest layout. It is full of ACE runs, and upshot practice for some, and all holes are par 3's. The PURPLE layout is our intermediate layout, and is all par 3's as well. Our BLUE layout is our most advanced layout and has 4 par 4's.
We just added in 4 letter holes that are seasonal/dependent on maintenance. You will find them in the layouts with either the 20 hole or 24 hole layout options. The letter holes are just 1 tee and 1 basket, and are more along the lines of the PUPRLE/BLUE layouts in difficulty.
It’s the most “Brutiful Course” you’ll play! If you can enjoy it for what it is (technical masterpiece), instead of what isn't (a long bomber, wide open course), you will have a blast!
