@dischunter
Beautiful older park with mature trees. Property has tons of potential just very lacking in design and flow. Signs would help tremendously.
@mhmartin
Flow of course has much to be desired but doesn’t take the fun away
@leebra
I have played over 225 courses from Washington to Florida and this course is in the bottom tier of courses I have played. While there are decent teepads, except for the built in “tee Signs” in the back corner which are problematic and no longer display any information, and decent baskets, the rest of the course needs a significant overhaul. There are so many tee boxes within circle one of baskets, fairways that zig and zag across each other and high pedestrian areas including picnic tables and benches, along with a mostly wide open layout. There is no readable signage, and with the crisscrossing layout it is hard to navigate, even with UDisc. This needs a complete redesign, and if there is no other space in the park to expand to, make it a solid 9 holer or shorten the course so holes are between 200-300 foot range.
@derekvz
Avoid the children! Busy park during the day. Open but still requires you to make some shots
@andycb
The lack of signage is really the only thing holding course back. Fairways criss-cross and there are some lengthier walks to the next tee where signage would definitely help. If you’re in the Cortez area don’t skip this one just because it’s lacking some signs.
@vapedaddyscoots
Signage on the pads is degraded but beautiful park and a nice course
@amiedema
A very basic course with simple shots. All par 3s and most are long, but pretty wide open. Could use some more interesting features and shot shapes. They should add a few mandos to some of the holes too.
@jeffbutler
Busy with lots of people on Saturday. I would imagine this course to be amazing if it weren’t for the opportunity to hit someone walking their dog.
@ahyams907
The bathrooms are closed for "winter" on April 25th and the shots have minimal creativity. Better signage between holes would be neat.
@kroontang
Open pretty field, no signage impossible without the app, no bathroom access. Claimed par 4's on pads not in sync with udisc
@rexford
Leauge is not inclusive, and split the entire club do to pettiness. Missing what the sport is about. To see more check DGC disc golfing page
@cindyrogers
Would be helpful to have arrows to the next tee box. Otherwise, great course! Thanks!
@paultheblack
Making good use of the park…few long tee shots, lots of fun.
@mboehner
Must have UDisc to find next tee as there is no directional signage. Not very challenging. Would be impossible to play on weekend if park is even moderately busy.
@jolo2100
Pretty good design, watch out for homeless.
@johnjohn847
Coming from a disc golf city, this course has potential but right now its a lawsuit waiting to happen. Crossing fairways, and public benches with families and homeless people directly in the fairways. Threw to the wrong basket on a few holes. Teepads are nice but you cant find them unless you use udisc. Signs need an update. This area needs more courses. How are there still benches in the middle of fairways 3 years after my original rating? PEOPLE ARE GONNA GET HIT BY DISCS BUT CORTEZ PARKS DEPARTMENT CLEARLY DOESNT CARE. PUT UP SIGNS THAT SAY THEY ARE SITTING IN A DISC GOLF COURSE, OR MAKE THE PARK STRICTLY DISC GOLF. THIS IS SAD THIS IS THE ONLY COURSE AROUND FOR 60+ MILES Oh and some lady picked up my $22 disc and walked off with it on hole 14. People in this town clearly dont have any common sense for this shit to be happening.
@cnoel85
The course really isn’t fun in its original (LONG) layout. Unless you like throwing your same driver on 16 holes. At least a handful of baskets should be in their shorter positions at all times. Even if every basket was moved to its short spot, there would still be plenty of shots that require 400’ of distance. The course is mainly wide open so it’s fun to at least mix up distances so you can throw some mids and putters off the tee, which isn’t the case with the original layout.
@skilletawake
Tee 1 is located near behind Dale Claxton Memorial next to police station.
