There is a lot to like to about this course. Those first 3 holes are very memorable. A big Par 4 across a park corner full of old trees. The 2nd shot is a fun downhill to green on a hump. Then another giant hole across a wet valley. From there the course gets more like your typical park golf but I don't mean that in a negative. It's a nice park full of some beautiful old trees and they make nice use of it all to create fun shots that are never easy and each hole has it's own identity and feel. The tees are just grass and that means mud in the wrong season. That 2nd Tee was actually a bit dangerous on the day we played as it slopes downhill on well worn ground. The baskets are terrible and I'm not talking about the brand really. They bought red baskets that have no defining number plate. It's almost a cruel joke to see if you can actually find them blended in with the vegetation of the course. I also want to give a nod to the creative approach to "par" with two values on each sign. Since they don't have multiple tees, they have Pro and Am par.

Course needs better tee boxes if any thing markers showing the tee area.

This nine hole park layout offers some decent variety and technicality, throwing through the mature growth trees. With a mix of long and shorter fairways, it suits the needs of both beginner and more intermediate player alike. The lack of concrete pads is a major negative , as playing in any season other than summer makes throwing a slippery proposition. Use adjacent paved surfaces when possible. Definitely worth a stop if traveling through the area and need to stretch out a bit.

@shadoww
Dirt pads tee signs are well done distance was off up to 40 feet

This is a good course for being brand new. However anyone giving it 5 stars doesn't know what a review is for. Being new and not having tee pads is perfectly fine incase you need to move them which hole 2 definitely needs moved. If it's park property then clear out the bottom of the hill and move it down there. If not then unfortunately hole 1 will need to move shorter. Hole 3 tee should move off to the left of the dam just a touch and make the corner kind of pinched. 5 needs cleaned up.

6 basket too close to parking lot. Challenging course to play when pavilion areas are being used. Nice little park course during off hours.

@zachshultz13
Awesome course in a small town park. Just needs some kind of tee pads since the tee areas are on uneven footing. However, in many instances you could just tee off from a nearby sidewalk or parking lot
@andrewdemuth48
Needs tee pads at some point. Love the versatility. Hole 4 over the hasta garden is about as beautiful as I can imagine. Hole 6 runs up against parking lot. I like having the OB long, but if there are cars parked behind the basket the penalty is a little much. Very shaded. I live in alliance, and I’m sure I’ll be back many times Lord willing.
@bigjim45
Needs pads but a fun course

@bigjohno80
Not a bad little course #3 tee pad is a little sketchy being up and then down a hill but not bad.

@bradyates1313
This is a very solid 9 hole. A few good distance holes and overall enjoyable to play. In need of some tee pads however.

@josiahrios
Great potential!

@bhartwig
Has potential to be really good. I’m assuming some of the tee signs weren’t placed in the correct spots. There’s a couple tee signs that are inside Circle 1 of the previous hole. Most of the holes are really well designed lines for advanced players but I hope a future layout is made for beginners.

@bigolmonkey
Great course. Trees to throw through, some longer holes, very nice layout. Thank you to park staff and any others involved in getting yet another DGC in the Mahoning Valley.
