It took like 20 minutes just to find this course because it’s super hidden and Siri took us to a random house that was on the same road. We then had to go to a near by restaurant to ask for help. When we finally found it, the grass and bushes were crazy overgrown and if your disc didn’t land in the fairway, good luck finding it — we spent like 15 minutes looking for mine three different times. The baskets were all different and some seemed to be homemade and kinda junky, if not they were just old. The signs were basically useless, they were just lines showing were the hole was and distance which on some holes was off. One was even missing. Playing this course blind was super confusing, especially on the farther holes because of how over grown it was. In the end I had like 7 tics and the deer fly were kind of bad, luckily no mosquitoes. But I will say the holes themselves were actually fun and had a really cool mix of different throws. If they cleaned it up and put in real baskets, it could be a really awesome course. I think they also need to make it more clear where the courses are by putting up signs (especially for parking). We also got lost a few times going to the next hole because the courses overlap. It’s been a couple days now but I thought I’d edit this in, but both my legs are full of rashes from poison ivy that are so itchy and won’t stop spreading, probably gonna have to go in. After finding this out, this is honestly one of the worst courses I’ve ever played, and I’ve played some bad ones. If anyone watches jmillydg it’s worse then his abandoned disc golf courses videos. I’m warning you to NEVER PLAY THIS COURSE!

I had a really frustrating experience here. First off, finding the place was a nightmare—there are no signs until you’re pulling into a driveway off a dirt road. When we finally arrived, there was no clear guidance. We parked in an empty grass lot with no cell signal and had to wander around until we could find one just to call someone. The person we reached seemed unprepared and told us to walk the rest of the way to the property, leave the payment in a lawn chair cupholder, and figure everything else out on our own. To make matters worse, the parking lot was about 1000 feet from where we were supposed to leave the money. Once we got on the course, finding hole 1 was confusing since there are three different courses, and none are clearly marked. The par 3 course doesn’t have any tee pads, and while the blue course does have decent paver tee pads, the signage throughout was totally misleading. It always showed a straight line to the basket, no matter the actual route you had to take. Without clear markers to the next basket, we ended up relying on the UDisc app just to navigate. The courses themselves were a mess. Both were heavily wooded with no real fairways, meaning you have to walk halfway up just to find your basket. Missing the fairway meant losing discs in thick brush full of thorns and itchweed. The baskets were inconsistent, with some temporary and some permanent, and only a few matching brands. The whole atmosphere felt unwelcoming since we didn’t see another soul the entire time. There are no bathrooms, no water, no shop, and no facilities like benches or shade anywhere. While the course was clean, the starting area looked like an abandoned campground. To top it all off, bugs like horse flies, gnats, mosquitoes, and ticks swarmed everywhere, making it impossible to focus on throwing. Overall, Chains Edge needs a serious overhaul in signage, course layout, maintenance, and basic facilities before it’s anywhere close to being a proper disc golf course. Do not come to this place

Anyone who thinks this course is hard to find needs glasses, because there 2 baskets at the entrance of the driveway, then there is signs telling you exactly where hole one is and arrows under every basket pointing to the next T. The fairways were mowed and the rough is barely knee high, anyone who can’t find there disc throws with there eyes closed. The variety of shots is great and the fairways are fair, anyone who hates on this place is a beginner. I would bring bug spray but this is mn disc golf

Slightly disappointed after playing here. The baskets were essentially different on every hole a few were homemade. Missing tee pads on a couple holes. We were also lost and just playing random.holes most of the time, the signage was not great and holes crossed between the three courses alot. I definitely think that place has potential, but needs some love and care

Epic course with a great mix of throws! Short/technical, long shape shots, placement shots and a few open rips. Loved the beautifully groomed fairways in the meadows as they complement the abundant woods. The red course may have a couple more signature type holes, but Blue is Best IMO! Hoping this layout stays the same for a LONG time!

The only thing that could make this better is if there was a bar serving beer like they have at Blue Ribbon pines.

Super fun, lots of variety: placement shots, tight woods, open long throws. Bring some bug spray, a bit of thorns and poison ivy so try to stay in the fairways. First par 5 is one of the best holes in MN.

Mostly hood with some boring holes. Signage on the long holes with footage to landmarks would be really helpful. Signs with lines don’t cut it when you’re going 850 feet.

Fun course. As a lefty there was a tough open field hole with a sign on second shot pointing to left with a pin on a raised platform. Do not go into the leff long grass on this hole. Its a jungle.
