Codorus State Park Purple Course

"Markers were awesome. The discing vocabulary terms on the signs were so fun, great added bonus! We’ll be back to play again. "

"Nice course, consistent tee pads and tee signs and maintenance. The purple layout feels a bit squeezed in, with some holes between parking areas, busy walking paths, and roads, so it wasn’t as fun to play as the red or blue layouts."

"Purple is a different kind of course from the other two at Codorus. It has the least interesting holes, but it complements the other two by offering things they don’t: it’s longer, more open and has the most dramatic elevation changes. Big arms can score here - as long as the wind isn’t up. The design tries hard to create interesting holes, but the placement of some tees and baskets feels a little gimmicky."

"The location of this disc golf course is picturesque to say the least. Beautiful views of the lake. The condition of the course is near perfect. Nice pads, new baskets, and well manicured landscaping. The play of the course is tailored to a right hand player who loves to throw powerful backhand drives. Although there are plenty of opportunities for fun forehand drives. Do to the undulations of the course putting is challenging. Get close on your drive and approach shots! Have fun!"

"Parking lots are a real impediment. And a lack of other obstacles on half of the holes. Well maintained. But could be trouble on busy days. "

"A little hard to follow, busy with non disc golfers, and tees are really close to previous baskets on some holes. Fun course, but just feels crowded"

"Course was in great shape for the tournament. Well maintained and enjoyable to play. Mostly open holes without much danger. OB is present, but not much of a threat on most holes. Tee sign distances were off on quite a few holes when measured w/ a range finder. Playing the course for the 1st time during a tournament, I was relying on tee signs for information. Hole 3 sticks in my memory as reading 240-something but measured at 280-something. 40’ difference on an uphill shot is significant"
