The only thing holding this course back is the occasional long walk between holes. The updates on the front 9 are fantastic, and overall a challenging and fun shot shaping course.

@schommstar
Half open and half thick woods. Challenging and well designed. Could use a little more direction to tees. The tees always have raised wood with soft gravel around them. Don't love thinking about rolling ankles every hole, especially because their is a large investment in this course. Really fun, worth the drive.

@breece
This course gives you an opportunity to practice wide open long shots and make you realize how much power you actually have
@cdemaria14
Variety of layouts for various skill levels, even a new very short juniors course. Lots of shot shapes required to score which makes it a fun challenge.
@dowden
Overall a fantastic course. Has shots you won’t find at other courses in the area. Distance is at a premium on this course. The road around the park comes into play quite a bit. Overall very well designed. The only hole I would really change is hole 10 either getting rid of the mando or clearing the secondary fairway so their is a clear line.

Pretty solid course. I played the long Tees to long baskets where available. Turf pads are thin and offer little grip, bit of a bummer ok a course with multiple 400+ft par 3 holes.

@pickupman92
Compared to the other courses in the area, I have to give this a low rating. The first few and last few holes on the golf course are a tad boring/repetitive/unnecessarily long . Really enjoyed the wooded part, but absolutely no benches or rest spots. The layout has a lot of walking to get to the next hole so the design isn't great, playing shorts, it was still over 11k steps (per the Fitbit).
@jake24petry
Good walking amount of walking in course. Good shot variety.

@ostewart16
No major complaints with anything, but I’ll say there were a few too many ‘tweener’ holes for my liking on the long layout. Some really nice holes, and a few that were semi-forgettable. Very well maintained though, and some work is clearly being put into making it even better.

@ryanhaddox
real good course! nice shot shape options, elevation changes, wooded shots are difficult but fun. some holes still need tee pads and make sure no cars are coming on hole 7 and 13, but other than that it's great. the walk between holes isn't bad, some longer than others.

@kjlilly
Beautiful long course with really nice tee pads and great mix of wooded and open shots!

@karstknight
The revised layout is a great addition to the Charleston-Hurricane-Huntington metro-valley courses.

@proprchels
This has gone from one of the worst courses in Charleston to one of the best. The course now offers a well laid out flow on both shorts and longs. Definitely helps to have a big arm if you’re throwing the longs.

@naamandunn
My new favorite course in the area. Long, mostly flat, little brush, nice scenery, challenging shots, good signage.

@ramz380
The new layout is so much better, a good mixture of shots. It’s not a championship level course by any means, but is good for any casual round. A couple true par 4’s. A bit of walking between tees, but not too much.
