This is a monthly event course from the Takahagi Disc Golf Club. Usually the second Saturday of every month it is set up from 9:00-15:00, if there are no conflicting park events. History
正式名称は「高萩市衛星通信記念公園」ですが、親しみを込めて「さくら宇宙公園」と呼ばれています。
ここは日本で初めてテレビの衛星放送を受信した記念すべき場所です。
園内には、茨城大学宇宙科学教育研究センターが運営する「宇宙電波館」や、かつて衛星通信アンテナとして使用されていた国立天文台のパラボラアンテナがあります。
このディスクゴルフコースは、地域のディスクゴルフ愛好家2人の発案から始まり、そ の後、高萩ディスクゴルフクラブを設立した第3の仲間の夢によって、地域にディスクゴルフを広めたいという思いから誕生しました。
