There was a shooting here yesterday (03/10/2025). Two deceased, one injured. Looks to have occurred in the parking lot that park patrons use. Course already felt unsafe prior to this, lots of litter. Truly a shame because the course itself is fun.

Overall underrated, if you play at the right time. I'll personally avoid it later in the day or in summer, but it's a great course. If you play in the morning, you might see a few people getting some exercise in, but that's it. Very peaceful and pretty that time of day. A good course to play in the fall, when plant growth isn't as lush. Only a few holes with heavy leaf cover. The rough is definitely rough even this time of year, but manageable. I'll personally avoid the course during heavy summer growth because I like to find my discs.
